I think it’s called Divorce in the Black because Megan’s character wanted to be in the black one the divorce is finalized (she has a line in the movie where she says that she wants to be in the black). Think about a business not wanting to be in the red, owning money/in debt, and wanting to be in the black, no debt/not owing money/breaking even or better yet making a profit. Ava wants to end the divorce ‘in the black’ not paying Dallas anything and in a good place emotionally, physically, mentally, etc.
