Great tutorial. I've been eyeing a lot of groove boxes and think I may end up going with the Model Cycles. I feel I already have a connection with the general workflow after watching this. The Novation Circut may be a bit more versatile but somehow I feel the Model Cycles will be easier to pickup but harder to master.
@Dale Patch : Definitely you should pick up a Model Cycles. It's got so many unique sounds and you can actually change any sound you choose ! I've got one of these Groove Machines and I absolutely LOOOOVE it...💡🎶🎛👏🏽💥✨❗

Saw this video in my feed again. Excited to rewatch. I did end up buying a model cycles. I feel more confident in my choice all the time despite not having much time to use it until recently. Amazing device and community. My plan now is just to spend more time working with the model cycles, but I do really want to work sampling into my workflow eventually. So, I plan to work up to a Model Cycles and SP404 combination that I think will serve my needs incredibly well as a whole. That's where I'm at two years later. Thanks again for kick starting the journey down this path.

yea thats probably the one place where cycles and samples beat rytm etc and even octa, many knobs instantly accessible to parameters.
Is there a way to get the multitrack of a performance like this in to a DAW?

Put in stuff randomly, loop, wiggle knobs and you got a beat. Elektron makes it too easy for us tbh.
Nah, I've used groove boxes since the 90's when the MC303 first arrived on scene. They've always been easy. However, they got more in depth along the way when Korg started the motion recording. That's when Grooveboxes took on a whole new life.
im guessing you can still hold a step and change its chord type etc.... probably as with syntakt //// syntakt chord stuff stolen from this? probs.

that is so repetitive and bad i had to turn it off how could i make music on a Roland mc303 and not that electron fm
