  • Locals know about this hidden gem, but not many others. Until now? Off the beaten path for sure. First time on TH-cam guaranteed. A short hike (which is rather stunning) and some music. That´s it. Just a short beautiful hike in a rather unknown place, Norway. You will be alone on the trail in the area. A hidden gem off the beaten path in Norway for sure. Join me on this hike.

I've done just over 27km today in Østlandet. Seen a stag, a couple of moose, some hares and squirrels. And then about 400m from home, a neighbour's garden was overflowing with deer. Not to mention all the birds getting busy with spring stuff before the weather turns cold again this week and the snow comes back.

Need some castles around and then....PERFECT. Yes, not for everyone to get up that crux....VERY demanding.

      @@sandvenexplorerJust you be careful!
Question for you; are there no bears in this region of Norway? I know there are Polar Bears in the northernmost parts, Svalbard etc.

@@dougieranger I have read there are now about 25 brown bears in Trøndelag county, but the county is huge with 42 000 square kilometers and those bears are in the border area to Sweden so not much chance any of those will show up here, but a very lonely wolf was seen recently in this area though...LOTS of moose and red deer in Trøndelag!

@@sandvenexplorerNice!! Proper wildlife there then. I’d love to see a moose, they’re enormous. No longer here in Scotland but we do have reindeer herds in the Cairngorm Mountains now though they were introduced rather than indigenous, some herds are semi-tame.
That really would be something if you could see a bear in its natural habitat there Chris.
There is a campaign here to reintroduce wolves as the Red Deer have no predators and their numbers are out of control now, though they are tasty.
We have reintroduced beaver though I have no idea why, they’re so destructive.
Lynx may also be reintroduced soon too.
We successfully reintroduced Sea Eagles (White Tailed Eagles) after some breeding pairs were kindly given to us from Norway, they have flourished.

@@dougieranger Germany has lots of wolves now, when they can then for sure Scotland with all its wild land can have them too...! Need to check out Scotland one day!
