I will always buy my shoes with a back strap. Also Birks will get more comfortable the longer you wear them as the cork conforms to the shape of your foot.
This was so fun🎉! I had a colour-changing tee shirt in the 90s that reacted to heat, pink and purple. The result was always two bright pink splotches underneath my arms🤦♀️. It was fun in theory.

Ok first THANK YOU for the Huda foundation update, I was so curious if it looked more natural with a dewy setting spray. Secondly! You can make a white to pink dress. My husband did it for me for my birthday, he bought the dye and 3 dresses, dye them in this uv pigment, and mine is pink normally and blue in the sun
Would love to see how the chore jacket looks if it fits. Always down for the practical yet snuggly look. I've been watching out for a new video on this channel; I'm excited. I love that dress from Ph5. I love how unique everything is. I'm sure you will look great in it! ❤
I have the Birkenstock Boston clogs but mine are the brown nubuck leather and I love them and I’m 47 for reference. I’ve had mine for 3 years and they’re my fall shoe with socks and I wear the Birkenstock gizeh in the summer. I have a really really bad back and find the Birkenstock shoes comfortable and I love the look of them.
As a 35 yr old we wore birls with our flared, boot cut, and bell bottom jeans from the time of the 5th grade summer and 6th grade year all the way through high school. Also they take some wearing to get the imprint of your foot in them and then they're comfortable. And you couldn't borrow them from someone because of how well they mold to the foot. I got my cousins as hand me downs once and I just couldn't wear them due to her imprint.
Those Birkenstocks were one of the early styles. They’ve been around since the 70’s. They’ve come in, and gone out, so many times in my lifetime that they’re one, of two, kinds of shoes that I never get rid of ~ Birkenstock’s and Cowboy boots. They’re kind of like one of my old boyfriends, the minute they’re gone you say….“They’ll be back.”
I’ve been wearing Birks since my daughter was a baby. (She’s now 31.). My middle schoolers used to call them my “Jesus shoes”. But my feet were happy, especially when I had to walk all the way up to the 8th floor. (Our school was an old YWCA.).
With the star light thing make sure I place it the right way round. Like those slides... There's a side that's blurry and a side that's clear (at least with the one I have)
The clogs... I wore those all through high-school (01-05) but they were definitely not name brand lmao. My mom HATED them, she called them my "Horse Hoof Shoes". Didn't wear them the way Dibbs did though lol. I for sure wore them with jeans and a Tshirt daily. I feel like they came back in style with all the other 90s/00s fashion. I honestly thought I'd never see them again though. Not spending Birk money to have them again though lol, I know mine were like $15-$25 maximum back in the good old days.
Carhart jackets are great for very cold weather. I have a hard time thinking of them as fashionable, because the men in my family that work outside in winter have been wearing them for decades. They are made well, and they last for forever.
Okayy that purple-y cardigan is SO your color! I’m guessing your seasonal color palette is “true spring.” Also that would be such a fun video idea to have a seasonal color palette analysis professionally done and then try to buy things according to the results
Those Aldo heels looked really great! I would never think of having a little gold snake wind around the back of a shoe but it was extremely cool. Why on earth have more shoe companies not put padding in heels? It is a question I ask myself every time I put on heels. It just feels mean at this point for a new shoe to come out and not be comfortable 😂.
Carhartt are amazing I still have mine from the early 2000’s and I also upgraded to barn jacket also. Just something to keep in mind with your hair journey and all; the styles with corduroy collar, might tangled your hair. It did mine, that was the main reason I changed styles, oh and pocket.
Both of my nieces (gen z) wear the clogs and I think they’re hideous, lol. I have several pairs of Birks, but definitely not those 😂. And the snake pumps are AWESOME! The dress reminds me of Hypercolor t-shirts from the 90’s. I think that was the first and only time sweating was cool 😂.
That dress was so cute on you!! And then heels 👠!!! That Carhartt jacket has been popular for many years at least where I'm from the jackets and hoodies from them too. I'm gonna grab that jacket for my hubby and I'm gonna go check out old Navy too!
I have the aldo pillow walk chrysalis shoes with the clear toe and iridescent butterfly and ankle wrap, i wore them to a wedding and they stayed on all night it was amazing I love them!
I love Birks, both as the clog and the sandal and I've had them at least four different times in my 30 years lol Absolutely my favourite shoe to wear out and do errands in. Funnily enough though, absolutely had mules
I love my Birkenstocks. I have 5 different pairs. They have changed the width fitting and the new ones don’t fit. I have friends who’ve had the same issue over the last 18 months. My first pair of Gizeh lasted me for about 7 years before being relegated to gardening sandals
They have two widths now depending on the style, narrow and regular/wide. You just need to check the box. Some come in both, some in just one or the other. My current pair is Mayari in reg/wide. I think Gizeh comes in both.
Flashbacks to me and my girls walking from car to club in open toes heels, little skirts and tops, and no coats in the middle of Michigan snowy winter. The constant pain from dancing in heels as the night wore on kept me from getting hammered many times. 😂😅
I have very curly, dry hair and started using Ouai thick hair products and love it!!! My buddy has slightly wavy thinner greasy hair and started using their medium mix and she loves it. I recommend testing them!
I have the clogs in wool flannel. They are warm enough in the winter (as long as I don’t have to walk through snow) that my feet don’t get cold even with the open backs. I live in Hamilton, Ont so it’s below zero most of the winter.
Birkenstocks were popular when I was in high school, so it’s funny to see them coming back around again. Also, the only people who wore Carhart were farmer’s kids. So strange to see it being “trendy” now. 😂
Before Christmas Carhart will have a humongous sale and you can get things all the time in their clearance section but yes they are very very durable. My husband is a diesel technician and that’s his wardrobe. Remember when ordering from them though their jackets are made to wear layers under so they are oversized.
I remember birkenstocks were huge during my middle school and high school years. Everyone wore them and or Uggs. I've been wearing an off brand of the clogs called White Mountain. I have a tumor (venous malformation) in my foot and they were recommended to me by my doctors. They are so comfortable and I love that they adjust so that one can be smaller for my non tumor foot and one can be bigger for my tumor foot. I really recommend them whether you get white mountain brand or birkenstocks.
Omggg frr I had the same reaction and I'm only 2 years older than her but I'm like whattt how is she only 26? And not that she looks old or anything like that but is just her aura, she seems so much older than she is
She is a year younger than me, I thought she was older than me. I don't know why I never thought about how with the way she acts in comparison to the others that she's clearly very young and the rest of the family isn't exactly old either. I think I based everything around Rachel who is very mature and a mother. I keep forgetting I'm more than old enough to have a couple kids myself, I just don't have any.
Thin and fine refer to two different things. Thin is how much hair you have on your head. Fine refers to the individual hair strand. For example, I have thick fine hair. Meaning I have a lot of hair but the individual strands are smaller than normal. I hope that makes sense. 🥴🙃
I feel like the Birkenstocks are the dressier versions of Crocs. I use my Crocs year round. As outdoor wear when it's hot and as house slippers during the winter. Birkenstock is a bit pricey for house slippers tho LOL
Hi Rachel. 17:10 purple-pink, the buttons are the issue, I think. If they are white, it will be amazing. I don't think is bad on you. But those buttons look off. That dress: love, love, love on you!
They make the Bostons with back straps (Tokio). By me, I’d say the Bostons were really at their peak a few years ago and this fall and last year it’s been all about the Tokios!
I just came from Old Navy. It’s down the street from my house. Had to check out the cardigans. I bought one in grey that you tried on and a really cute pair of jeans 👖 I swear you influence me to buy so much stuff❤
the shaker sweater was awesome - turned under looked great, and if you stuck it in the dryer for a bit with a damp facecloth to remove the fold lines, I think you would have liked it better on. I don't know about that dress -- I like the idea of the color changing dress, but I think they blew it by adding that cartoon-like wavy hem. Lastly -- I agree that shade of foundation was awesome on you.
I like the wavy hem, but not the pattern on the body of the dress. There's another one like that, that just has a curvy outline (without the criss cross pattern) that looks a lot better.
I was doing dishes and packing to go to my dad’s for the weekend. It’s the 1 year anniversary of my mom’s death on Sunday, so my partner, dog and I are driving 5 hours to go spend the weekend with my dad. It’s the last big “first” for him without my mom (his wife 43 years), so it’ll be an emotional time, but hopefully fun!
As a 39 year old who had to suffer in heels at the club, I’m bitter and angry that now it’s cool to wear comfy sneakers out. That’s my rant

I really recommend them whether you get white mountain brand or birkenstocks.
Birks were huge when I was in HS in the late 90s. I consider Dr. Martens, Birkenstocks, Chucks & Vans to be the signature shoes of Gen X.
That UV dress is everything on you! You must find a place to wear that masterpiece 😀
The foundation is gorgeous on you!
What?! I LOVE the pink sweater!!
DIBS IS NOT 4 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME! OMG! She seems so much more mature than I am in my 30's!
Not me crying in '90.....you two are so young.
Im crying in 1990 right there with ya lol @@hannersandrews
Omggg frr I had the same reaction and I'm only 2 years older than her but I'm like whattt how is she only 26? And not that she looks old or anything like that but is just her aura, she seems so much older than she is
@@hannersandrews 🙈 im crying in 84 😭 I’m ancient
She is a year younger than me, I thought she was older than me. I don't know why I never thought about how with the way she acts in comparison to the others that she's clearly very young and the rest of the family isn't exactly old either. I think I based everything around Rachel who is very mature and a mother. I keep forgetting I'm more than old enough to have a couple kids myself, I just don't have any.
Hey now I need to know what that cardigan/cozy top was before you cut off! I want that one!
I’ve been a fan of Old Navy for years!
Thin and fine refer to two different things. Thin is how much hair you have on your head. Fine refers to the individual hair strand. For example, I have thick fine hair. Meaning I have a lot of hair but the individual strands are smaller than normal. I hope that makes sense. 🥴🙃
Please do another cull video! I’m going back and watching yours from years ago, and would love another!
I'm 37 and the clog shoes are still my jam hahahah I even have sandles of them haha I wear them everywhere
I feel like the Birkenstocks are the dressier versions of Crocs. I use my Crocs year round. As outdoor wear when it's hot and as house slippers during the winter. Birkenstock is a bit pricey for house slippers tho LOL
I absolutely loved my carthart coat. So warm and cute. Love the color on yours get it in your size tho.
Your hair is looking fabulous!
Your brows!!! 😍😍😍
Hi Rachel. 17:10 purple-pink, the buttons are the issue, I think. If they are white, it will be amazing. I don't think is bad on you. But those buttons look off.
That dress: love, love, love on you!
I got that same cardigan in the sad beige/ cream 😂 and I love it
There was a make-up hack recently on TT about powdering your face before applying make-up (?), maybe that's a trick for your nose. ❤
Omg i got the second old navy cardigan on sale and I WENT OVERSIZED!!! 🤣🤣 i recommend lol
I own that exact coat in black. I stole from my dad 20+ years ago! 😂 always loved carheart!
Your brows look really good whatever your using keep using it
Your hair is amazingly shiny from the Dyson!!
Yeah, not me getting anxiety as soon as Rachel sat on the floor to put heels on. I’d never get on my feet 😂
That's got to be hard, I hope you have a safe trip and a good time.
I wore those clogs all through high school lol. I graduated in 2010. I find it hilarious that they’re coming back
I have very fine hair. Good point about buying the hydrating shampoo and diluting it. Your hair does look very shiny.❤
