  • Most of us know Psalm 51 as David's prayer of confession and repentance, but Matt Candler reminds us not to miss David's cry for God to set watchmen on the wall for Israel and Jerusalem. "This portion of the very end of Psalm 51 is like an invitation for Israel to God that they would be saved, that they would enter into calling and crying out to God for that right spirit like David did."

When David prays, “Create in me a clean heart,” he is asking God for forgiveness. The subtitle to Psalm 51 clarifies the situation: “A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.”

    1) Isa 9:6
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God (אל גבור), Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
👉 For unto us a Child is born, A son was given whose name was YEHOSHUA (JESUS) whom the rebellious (H4805 [Eze 2:8]) struck (H5221) and hanged to a tree; And His name is called Wonderful, Mighty God (EL Gibbor), Everlasting Father, Price of Peace.
    2) Isa 10:21
The remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, To the Mighty God (EL Gibbor).
👉 Blessed (אשרי H835) are those who come to receive (קבל H6901) YESHUA (as) the Mighty God (EL)
👉 Draw near to my redeemer (גאלי H1350 [Job 19:25]) YESHUA who came in the flesh.
👉 My Steps (אשרי H838 i.e. going about, walking around) in the fire (באש H784 [Ex 3:2;Dan 3:25] i.e. the burning bush; the furnace) draw near to YESHUA the Mighty God ( i.e. when in distressed באש H888 )
👉 Draw water (שאב H7579 [Rev 21:6]) from the well (באר H875) of YESHUA (Salvation) who will seek out (יבקר H1239 [Eze 34:11,12]) and redeem (H1350 [Lev 25:25]) (His flock)
🛆 This is a well-known prophecy of the Messiah. There are only 2 places where the word “the Mighty God/El Gibbor אל גבור “ are used in the Tanakh i.e. in Isa 9:6 and Isa 10:21.
From Here we can see that Yeshua/Yehoshua (Jesus) is the Messiah, Redeemer, The Son of God, the Mighty God.
    • Rev 1:8,17,18 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty ... I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.
    • Rev 21:6-7 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
    • Ps 45:1b,3 I recite my composition concerning the King ... Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One (גבור), with Your glory and Your majesty.
    • Rev 19:16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
    • Job 34:10 Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: Far be it from EL (God אל) to do wickedness, and from the Almighty (Shaddai שדי) to commit iniquity. (See [Ps 32:2] )
    • Eze 34:11-12 For thus says Adonai YHVH : “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.
