I think Jake was chosen to talk to Connor because he can relate the most to him. Connor and Jake’s problems parallel eachother(with Tom and Riya respectively). They both feel like they’re failures in life. They both feel like they’ve lost so much of themselves because of their insecurities and problems. No one else can relate to Connor on that deep of a level. Also Jake is just seemingly the best at comforting. Look at the season 1 episode where he comforted Miriam. I feel like Jake was the perfect person to talk and comfort Connor.
Scenes like that really make me concerned for the next episode. Because ONC could easily learn the wrong lessons from this. Instead of fixing the challenge and elimination execution, they could instead overcorrect themselves with the dialogue to make it look worse when it was fine to begin with.
Lol at thinking Jake is good at comforting.....dude purposely went out antagonizing ppl.... Yes it's true they both have insecurities but they both handle it differently.... I think this episode is more funny by the 4th dance where every character hates their life by the end and having them react how we are makes it 10x funnier. I feel like keeping that up for the whole challenge woulda made it funnier.
Actually, I think Jake being the one to help Connor is appropriate. Throughout his run, Jake has spent a lot of time being cared for and listen to by people like Ashley, Ellie, or Miriam. But now, it’s *his* turn to help someone else, and the fact that he not only does that well, but it is also self aware enough to mention his own faults, is immersive character growth and solidifies why I love Jake.

They throw away Gabby yet for some reason Iden isnt out yet?! What has Aiden done completely by himself that's relevant at all before this episode, besides seeing the kiss? Not even the stuff he does is by himself cuz he apparently needs Jake for extra plot power. As much as Jake annoys me at times, if he gets out next episode and Iden is still here, I'm gonna go crazy.
LMFAOOOOOO the Gabby section had me crying. Although I feel like she was robbed in this challenge I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t glad she was gone because I definitely was. Once she betrayed her own team and got out Tess I was over her character and was praying for her to go next. I was even shocked when Aiden said “We’ll miss you” I’m like Aiden bye she wanted you gone as well she’s the op😂
Jake was likely chosen because the parallels between his first talk with Connor and the way he's had the most immaturity. It's a good way to show his growth and that he's way different from how he started out. Ally straight up says that she doesn't feel a connection to the alliance and Aiden is the one who caused this in the first place. Since Jake spent the most time with him, this one falls on him. And I think with anyone else this scene would've been worse.
I totally agree with you on this episode. It’s not bad other than everyone at gabby’s elimination. Should’ve just been Grett and Gabby only there. I am worried about how the writers will characterize Ally going forward tho
My problem with gabbys elimination is that riya and alec are still here. I get that theyre intwined with connor but fuck meee I want to see them go so bad. They tank my enjoyment of this season a shit ton and I just want them gone. Aidens also just... there.
How is Ally evenly justified by letting Jake die to a bear......just because Jake brought up Hunter ??? You're so wrong on that, sorry. Jake can bring up Hunter 10000 times, and Ally would still be more morally in the wrong here.
I'm going to do a rant, so prepare for reading. First off, I loved the humor in this episode, especially with Connor. The scene of them traumatized from watching Aiden do the wap dance and Connor being confused throughout the challenge still plays in my mind. Second, I think something that a lot of people forget about Total Dramas All Stars and Disventure Camp All Stars is the interactions between the 2 casts, and how much better is it in Disventure Camp. Grett/Gabby and Alec/Connor as pairs were executed so well this episode, and I think it did a good job of strengthening Gabby and Grett's friendship while giving more context to Alec and Connors "rivalry". Third, the choice to have Connor get over Riya in the beginning of the episode felt more like they were building his character and less like a plot device like Gwuncan in World Tour. The ending really tied a bow on this whole episode, which I agree that people should appreciate more. Lastly, I like how they decided to take a break from voting, and instead of alliances deciding who went home, the interactions between characters did.
Yeah, the line Jake gives about Hunter was really unneeded because I think just calling her out on being insecure would be enough to set her off. People pointed out as well that it was reminiscent of Ellie telling him off in the caves in season 1. While I don’t see it as extreme or infuriating as that, I can see their point. Also, even though that was uncalled for, the amount of people hating on Jake and praising Ally when she left him to get mauled by a bear annoys me. Like, he is ruffed up and curled up on the floor traumatized after. That’s not a girl boss moment no matter what he said to her. Fun fact btw:even Trevor’s actor, Silly Billy, ended his reaction early on Gabby’s elimination. Even he was upset at it
I love to bring up TPOT, so gabby leaving as a hero kinda reminds me of teardrop leaving in a good way in TPOT 9, when she's done nothing but be a threat and a menace to everyone lol Also you're pretty cool lech do you have like a discord server i could join!!!!
Excellent example, I love Teardrop's exit in TPOT 9. Unfortunately I don't have a discord server. I don't have the time and energy to run one. :( But I could reach out to you if you drop your discord user.
The Dan Syndicate shall not be silenced for the wrongs he has faced… Jokes aside, pretty overhated episode. Not my favorite but it was fun! I still think most people are just upset that it was Gabby who got the boot. Like you said, the Connor scene was awesome and I’m happy we got it.
The thing is, I could probably enjoy the episode but knowing the Disventure Campers writers I can picture them in a meeting with one of those really long tables while their discussing the next episode. One of the writers slams their fists on the table and exclaims "URIKA, I'VE GOT IT" as they go into immense detail exactly how Aiden would do the gwiddy. In short I think the writers likely made this challenge and thought it was unironically entertaining
I'm glad that I'm not the only person who doesn't hate this episode. I personally find it funny, and especially the ending with Jake talking to Connor. The only scenes that I don't like is the part that they do the WAP dance, which is something I do not need to see. (But their reactions showing that they hate this show before doing it is actually funny). The other scene is the cave scene, where Jake mentioned Hunter (which is crossing the line), and Ally taking pettiness to another level by letting Jake to die (At least Jake just wanting to vote out the person that crosses him).
This isn’t the worst episode of the series by a long shot, but it was… pretty mid. Even if it was cringe I thought the TikTok dances were funny (especially the last one 😭) but the elimination and the show trying to make me cry my eyes out and care about everything like you’re trying too hard. Gabby is such a hypocritical character, and I genuinely think that if Grett like, trips and hits Ellie once Gabby will end up in prison with murder and torture charges
Guysss okay so ik this episode is superrr hated but im ngl it isnt as bad as yall think 😭😭 like there has been WORSER episodes in disventure camp. Plus we got connor twerking on camera, thats a plus 👍🏻👍🏻
Also I remember she said the audience is gonna hate us hate us or just Ally Well I know they're going to hate her now After what she did to jake She needs to stop carrying what people think of her Seriously
This episode was the best episode yet, in the most ironic way possible, at least I had fun watching it at points lol, unrelated note, am so happy Gabby is gone, never liked her, she is so poorly written imo lol
Gabby? Poor written? You're mistaken. Have you watch TDROTI? Mike's in there and his DID is poorly written, well worse than any of Gabby. She was one of the best written tbh, i let you have an opinion but i dint think so
@@TheCuphead02 both can be true, and while I don't like how they do Mike's DID (especially in All Stars), I think there are far worse examples of TD cast also, Gabby just never grabbed me, and felt she was just kinda annoying really, and not in a good way either
honestly, this episode could be worse. I disliked certain aspects of it but I find the riyden dymamic of "crap did we just get along" interesting and hopefully we get more of it. The ending was really sweet, with the elimination and Jake comforting Connor, I'm curious to see where this goes next episode
I think they were all there because Kristal told them to be ( since there was no elimination ) and not because they liked Gabby. I understand all of them being there, but hearing Jake and Aiden saying that they'll miss her was really weird.
Yeah I understand why u don’t like Gabby but u treat her like if she’s an evil mastermind or something. Gabby has mental issues and the reason why she did it is because that Ellie told her to. Ofc Gabby did wrong things but she’s didn’t despicable by heart. She wasn’t build as a villain, she just doesn’t know better.
The comedy is so horrendous this season. I dare anyone to say they actually laughed at Connor's boomer jokes. Seriously who on the writing staff is writing these jokes and how are they getting approved?
Before watching this video I’m gonna say: I thought that it sure was an episode. I think some of it was funny and it felt intentional this time. I actually like the challenge. It’s at the very least creative for a show like this. There were some scenes I hated, some I liked. I felt like it was kinda just there? Definitely better than other episodes but idk. After watching this video: Thinking about it more, yeah this is a bad example of an instant elimination. I think I've only seen like one show do this right out of the few that I've seen do it and it's Inanimate Insanity season 2. It has a sudden death elimination that doesn't feel out of nowhere and actually has some good suspense and stuff right before the challenge ends. I didn't really give a shit when they were in last and the phone got thrown out since I'm used to this season having horrible elimination choices and it really wasn't a bad choice anyway. I'd actually much rather see Gabby eliminated than Grett. But the way it's done in II I think is pretty good. As for the interactions with other characters at the elimination holy shit for sure II does this better than DC. Btw the third season of II sucks the winner is undeserving fight me. Anyway enough about object shows. I feel like as time goes on I just care less and less about this season which is sad. I think that and the gaps between episodes are probably why I missed that pretty big contradiction with Gabby's exit. I just really did not care enough to put actual thought into who was seeing her off.
I feel like another problem people r having with the season is the amount of screentime Riya and Aiden r getting. like Tess easily could have filled Aiden's spot
Gabbys my 3rd favorite character But omg what you said was actually So fucking accurate to Gabbys character 💀 Also what did she do to make "you" that mentally unstable near the end 💀💀

Lastly, I like how they decided to take a break from voting, and instead of alliances deciding who went home, the interactions between characters did.
The gabby section had me freaking out 😭
I don't know how that got in there.
Same 💀
Evil Dan is so much better than Dan in DC.
Also in the show I think the voice actors really carrie Dan .
this episode destroyed my brain
Even he was upset at it
I’m genuinely first!!
I say as I watch this on three devices to comment.
It was certainly an episode….
this was definitely my favorite episode so far lol
I threw up while watching and I'm NOT KIDDING 💀
I love to bring up TPOT, so gabby leaving as a hero kinda reminds me of teardrop leaving in a good way in TPOT 9, when she's done nothing but be a threat and a menace to everyone lol
Also you're pretty cool lech do you have like a discord server i could join!!!!
Excellent example, I love Teardrop's exit in TPOT 9.
Unfortunately I don't have a discord server. I don't have the time and energy to run one. :(
But I could reach out to you if you drop your discord user.
@@Lechgangoh yeah sure I can send you my discord username!!
apersonondisc0rd here you go!!!
I get the challenge was written ironically but the writing in general for this episode was actually a serious downgrade
No offense to Michael btw.
The Dan Syndicate shall not be silenced for the wrongs he has faced…
Jokes aside, pretty overhated episode. Not my favorite but it was fun! I still think most people are just upset that it was Gabby who got the boot. Like you said, the Connor scene was awesome and I’m happy we got it.
Very true. The only problem most people have with it is Queen Gabby getting robbed. I thought the tiktok dance cringe was pretty funny.
I NEED A SEASON WHERE DAN WILL START PLAYING STRATEGIC AND GET HIS REVENGE ON GABBY
Griddy scene has gotta be the funniest scene in this whole show ngl 😭🙏
10:35 10:48 Lechgang I love you for this
That's not me.
@@Lechgangwell I still love that person for this
The thing is, I could probably enjoy the episode but knowing the Disventure Campers writers I can picture them in a meeting with one of those really long tables while their discussing the next episode. One of the writers slams their fists on the table and exclaims "URIKA, I'VE GOT IT" as they go into immense detail exactly how Aiden would do the gwiddy. In short I think the writers likely made this challenge and thought it was unironically entertaining
Let's hope they don't eliminate Connor just because he got development.
Twitter is hating you for your opinions but I will ALWAYS DEFEND YOU QUEEN 👑
Meh, my sub count on TH-cam keeps going up, so clearly I'm doing something right.
At least we're getting seeds for Ally to stop being Wonder Bread and becoming into Tana Mojo....lowkey that would be interesting
yooo a dan and gabby rivalry would be dope tho
I'm glad that I'm not the only person who doesn't hate this episode. I personally find it funny, and especially the ending with Jake talking to Connor.
The only scenes that I don't like is the part that they do the WAP dance, which is something I do not need to see. (But their reactions showing that they hate this show before doing it is actually funny). The other scene is the cave scene, where Jake mentioned Hunter (which is crossing the line), and Ally taking pettiness to another level by letting Jake to die (At least Jake just wanting to vote out the person that crosses him).
My name is conor, and connor is goatted with the sause
This Is Dan Propaganda, In The Words Of Izzy "You'll Never Take Me Alive"
you think playboi carti would like disventure camp
He absolutely would.
I am playboy carti I like disventure camp
whole lotta gabby
This ep made me laugh because i was cringing so hard
She was one of the best written tbh, i let you have an opinion but i dint think so
@@TheCuphead02mike is better written
@@TheCuphead02 both can be true, and while I don't like how they do Mike's DID (especially in All Stars), I think there are far worse examples of TD cast also, Gabby just never grabbed me, and felt she was just kinda annoying really, and not in a good way either
honestly, this episode could be worse. I disliked certain aspects of it but I find the riyden dymamic of "crap did we just get along" interesting and hopefully we get more of it. The ending was really sweet, with the elimination and Jake comforting Connor, I'm curious to see where this goes next episode
I dont evdn care about the rest of this season dawg grett is the only satasfying winner
Personally, I like all episodes
hot ones vs lofi dual in the part of connor connect well
God, I adore Hollywood Sunset.
I think they were all there because Kristal told them to be ( since there was no elimination ) and not because they liked Gabby.
I understand all of them being there, but hearing Jake and Aiden saying that they'll miss her was really weird.
I'd say it was more stupid then weird.
I laughed all the episode of embarrasment
Its one of the better episodes for sure!
Yul would love the challenge
Now I'm Glad fiore isn't here 💀
2:31 ¿Where I can find the full reaction of the episodes?
Bump because I want to see the full reactions 😂😂
Honestly at the start I liked all the episodes bcuz of the hype when it releases
I was thinking that Gabby would turn evil in the next episode and they had to haul her off the show.
#DanDeservedit
Yeah I understand why u don’t like Gabby but u treat her like if she’s an evil mastermind or something. Gabby has mental issues and the reason why she did it is because that Ellie told her to. Ofc Gabby did wrong things but she’s didn’t despicable by heart. She wasn’t build as a villain, she just doesn’t know better.
Dan said that.
@@Lechgang ok I get the joke now.
It was hilarious
The comedy is so horrendous this season. I dare anyone to say they actually laughed at Connor's boomer jokes. Seriously who on the writing staff is writing these jokes and how are they getting approved?
Before watching this video I’m gonna say:
I thought that it sure was an episode. I think some of it was funny and it felt intentional this time. I actually like the challenge. It’s at the very least creative for a show like this. There were some scenes I hated, some I liked. I felt like it was kinda just there? Definitely better than other episodes but idk.
After watching this video:
Thinking about it more, yeah this is a bad example of an instant elimination.
Everyone after death will live on in the spirit of.. something. I don't know the saying, but hey I thought this episode was alright tbh.
I loved episode 14 which you will know if you see my review coming hehe. Yes, I’m the episode 14 guy.
Help alec is becoming a new millie
Funniest episode so far, I get why people didn’t like the elimination but that’s no reason for them to try and boycott the show
dan was robbed guys
banger video
11:25 I know I am cheering for a villain. Many people who watch Disventure Camp do.
I feel like another problem people r having with the season is the amount of screentime Riya and Aiden r getting. like Tess easily could have filled Aiden's spot
I actually like this episode the only thing is that i didnt expect gabby to go
5:38 thank you for saying this! It’s not the fandom or ONC being misogynistic, it’s more like being misandrist. Especially the fandom.
Your takes are always so similar to mine, I thought i was just a weirdo 😭
Gabbys my 3rd favorite character
But omg what you said was actually
So fucking accurate to Gabbys character 💀
Also what did she do to make "you" that
mentally unstable near the end 💀💀
Nah that was just Dan taking over
Ever hear this thing called, 'Paying attention?'
@@comicguy416 are you talking to me or them?
@@Game_945 You.
@@comicguy416 K well let me explain a little bit about what I meant
I was paying attention I knew it was Dan but what I meant when I said "also what did she do to make you this mentally unstable" was me wanting her to explain more
That's what the dance is called 🙄 what else did you want them to say? Other than that, I agree with most of your points and the Gabby speech was funny.
I don't mind that they called it that. I just thought it was really funny when they did, lol.
I personally love episode 14 because GABBY GETS VOTED OF WOOHOO!!!
I absolutely hated it😭
Gabby was so ROBBED and why tf is Oreo McFlurry and spicy Latina still here considering we know damn well they aren’t going to win😭
She sucks bro she is so annoying she is always trying to act like she is so positive but the second something doesn't go her way she starts whining and complaining amd saying some stupid shit that she is never gonna do and everyone keeps being kind to her in the show and in the fandom like imagine being a massive asshole to everyone that goes against u or doesn't agree with u on something and everyone loves u for it that's what that character is
Oreo mcflurry and spicy latina is crazy 💀
Riya is Indian.
Spicy Latina would be funny if Riya was actually Latina
@@heathed4945 whoopsie ig it’s spicy Indian
It’s Disventure camp’s gross eating episode
It’s not as bad as the farts but still weird
It’s not really for everyone like disventure camp itself 😕
But like James did not teach Aiden that…🫢
