    The red ones that charge up are incredibly useful when equipped with ECCM. They are ignored by PD once they start the cone amining charge up. They pack a serious punch and hit way higher than Cruiser size - so long as the target is distracted. My fleet currently has 3 of the missile cruisers, the large slots are the red ones, with the side and front ones being a mix of green and blue to balance out. very effective and fun to watch.

      They also just got buffed from 3000 to 4000 damage because they weren't quite doing enough. Sadly I can't use them right now since I'm doing a low tech play through. Lasers and beams are out, heavy long range kinetic bombardment is in!

    Laser Pod missiles are awesome. Several new ships as well but I still love the Odyssey as my frontline ship (for easy disengage).

      Agreed, it's a very aggressive ship but also good at getting out of a bind. Also love that it can accommodate a few diverse builds with its jack of all trades nature!

    Friendship ended with Tri Tach, Persean is now best faction (because they have sole access to DEM missiles and actual missile ships like Pegasus, Gryphon, and Conquest)

      Some really good mods out there that add deadicated large missile hardpoint ships. Think it was the midline expansion mod, waiting for them updates.
