Honestly you could use both strings and meet in the middle and tie it off. But I recommend doing it the way the video shows.

Pony beads are usually pretty inexpensive. If money is a concern I know Dollar Tree has them and string most of the time. 🙂

i literally cannot tie a knot on PURPOSE for the life of me and my string was either too bendy or too light, im sure your tutorial would have been great for me if i had the right materials

Can you make kandi without the specific string she used??
1mm or 1.2mm is best. .7mm is good for small beads. I like fabric elastic but the clear plastic stuff works too.
