Crona also played a bigger role in the story in the manga. Some of the villains had appearances towards the end and helped the protagonists in a fight or two, which was very cool! The final fight was also pretty great. Excalibur was around a lot more often, too.

I wish mroe anime had a Jujutsu Kaisen style system to jsutify these power explaining monolouges that essentially jsut make oyu weaker, since in Jujutsu Kaisen, explaining how your curse (power) works to your enemy, the mroe detail the stronger the effect, makes it stronger on that enemy, meaning it's a fair tradeoff and gives a reasonable reason and epxlanation for these instances of people jsut explaining all the detaisl fo their powers to their enemy like a bloating dumb-fuck.
If Medusa pulled out the Vector Plates from the start, none of the students would have escaped. She let them pass, because she wanted to try corrupting Stein. And in the end, the Kishin was revived and Stein was compromised, exactly as she had planned it.

@@Manglet762 It's hard to justify it in a story, since your two options are 1. Characters stop what they're doing to talk. or 2. Characters keep fighting as they talk. Both options have drawbacks... First option lets you focus on the conversation but makes it look really weird when characters stop fighting to monologue while option two is more realistic seeming, but it distracts from the conversation, especially if they're doing cool techniques or flashy/loud moves.
I just realized.. Medusa would have most likely won in this scene if she made the Light Serpent go straight in Stein's direction when he was pinned to that Vector Plate.. Stein couldn't have gone anywhere but straight towards it. Then again, he probably would have figured out a way to kill it.

I’m running a d&d campaign and I’m at a point with the players joining a college and I’m gonna make a npc heavily based on stein. He’s just too fucking cool not too. There’s also a serial killer in the school too. And I want the Medusa and stein interactions from when she was a nurse and they had those banters where stein was suggesting he knew and Medusa was like “…oh shit.”

To get past Medusa, Killua could just flip on his assassin switch, and Gon would be pretty similar to black star in getting past medusa. Charge head first and rely on natural athleticism. If not, Gon is a subconscious natural genius of using Zetsu because he grew up in the wild, so he could use that to get past medusa when she’s distracted, the same way Gon managed to catch Hisoka’s badge when he was distracted. Gon and Killua could break the corridors and make a way out like they did against Nobunaga. They could block Medusa’s sight like how Gon did against Hisoka in heaven’s arena by throwing and breaking the tiles. Basically, what I’m saying is that these two anime, their power systems, and how they handle fear are very similar. And they’re both my favorite types of anime. Another thing similar about these anime is how they handle characteristics: in two ways The first way is in abilities: the variety of abilities that directly appeal to someone’s personality is spot on in both power systems. The second is natural senses: black star has great hearing, maka has great knowledge and is great at sensing wavelengths, Death the Kid is a shinigami. How HxH does this is Gon has a great sense of smell, Killua’s feet are so silent they practically can never be heard (also Killua is a Zoldyck similar to how Death the Kid is a Shinigami), and Kurapika is the one with the great world knowledge.

Even the things that still occurred happened differently and were executed better. The last 15 or so episodes of the anime really do the story a disservice, and I'm still holding out hope it'll get a FMA Brotherhood treatment - redone to tell the actual faithful story, it's so much better.
