this is my favourite instance of teamwork in any media, its so synergistic and gives a big role for every party while making one of the most badass fight sequences in anime.

If you liked this fight, read the manga from chapter 38 and see what really happened with the Mosquito, from chapter 38 all in the manga and different for the best, Soul Eater and an incredible anime but with an end filler.
Yeah, the manga was great. Actually, the mosquito fight was really where the paths started diverging, because in the battle (spoilers BTW), they actually lost against Mosquito (and by lost I mean ran out of time) and had to leave before they could win, and let Mosquito have the (fake) Brew.

Rai Hiruisa I most definitely think it deserves a remake. The anime went on a different path from the manga but I still think the anime is iconic too. If they did a re-make following the manga but kept the same art-style and animation as this, it would be awesome asf.

Remember though, Anime only don’t know how many forms mosquito has other then his 100 year form. His 200 year is crazy, his 400 year is just “bat” shit insane and his 800 year formed looked immense.

It would have been so cool to see the fight star and kid had in the book of Eibon in the manga, that fight was so interesting. I would’ve also loved to see the darker Crona we get in volume 20. I say volume 20 specifically because of my fav chapter in the whole series “a simple story about killing someone”
the move does not purge evil specifically the reason that genie hunter is more powerful than witch hunter is because of the anti magic wavelength it emits

The cultures these mythical creatures came from generally considered such power to either lead to or be born of corruption, this leading to a lot of tales of containment (in a lamp, for example). At best djinn are noted to be neutral but fickle forces.

Majin - 魔人 is the word they use and while 人stands for man or person and when it's used at the end of the word it relates to an attribute, 魔 (Ma) can be read as several different things, devil, evil spirit or simply magic. It's the same Ma as 魔王(Mao) Demon king and 魔法(Maho) magic. It could be translated as both Genie( literally "magical person|) and Devil/Demon(literally "evil person"). And they went for Demon due to the not so negative image about genies in the west. And as MrAkaidu said, generally genies are neutral at best.
TheWolverine900 Because of the nature and the sheer strength of Maka and Soul's Genie Hunter, Moskito was forced to detonate his body and escape with his head intact (I mean this literally...with his head bouncing away). It was a last ditch effort since he knew he was beaten.
Eh... i mean the fact that i know he could have got up form that final attack, dropped another 100 years and just casually killed them all, lessons the impact of the win. I wish the show didn't downplay Mosquito, and we got to see him reveal his true power.
The fight is awesome cause it illustrates that the meister isn't the only one fighting, but the weapon adds in their own unique attribute
