In situations where the standard of care is below what you would describe as acceptable, but above what would warrant immediate legal action, it is most likely to be best for the child and the public at large for the child to stay with their parents - also likely their choice if given one. I'm all for rights of children but I also try and appreciate that how we treat and raise our young, all the way from conception to when they go off on their own, and what is actually best for the child is truly a priority of a parent, even if different people agree on what that actually is. I believe those disagreements on an inter species level, as well as variable environmental and external forces, are the primary reasons for why we have different cultures and hell, even multitudes of animals with common ancestors but completely different behavior. I think the only way to maintain a diverse set of opinions is to allow for a diverse set of lifestyles in a diverse set of environments, with obvious deadly exceptions. This here is not obvious.
That outside freezer probably has their other kids in it. “I’m sorry, jr. , you were using too much electricity and food, we had to off ya’.” And that’s what was in the “homemade pork”.
I imagine it's to save on heating costs in the winter due to lack of insulation at the windows, and possibly the logic that the sunlight "heats" the house? Who knows?
Summer months you want to keep the sun out and keep the cool dark air in. Winter you want the cold out and take advantage of everyone's body heat to warm the room they sleep in.
Lmao exactly, surely blocking the windows would be a negative thing to do if trying to save money ,I'd say these ppl are just mentally deluded ,if your worried about lights then how about don't block out the windows there for you would save the batteries on your lantern 😂
Why would they block out the windows if they’re worried about having light in the house without using electricity? The sun is a giant light. And it’s free.
they dont want people seeing how they live because when the sun goes down and you have nosey neighbors they will catch on that you dont have power and call someone on you
I’m surprised they didn’t go into a run down house and just steal insulation to put in their own... I don’t think they care if people see how they live considering they’re national now lol plus she seemed WAY too proud
All of them sleeping in the SAME BED?! That's just WRONG! First of all, my favorite thing is being all snuggled and cozied up to my hubby and waking up in the middle of the night to find that we're both "in the mood" for some sleepy midnight nookie. Kind of impossible to act on that with your child laying right freaking next to you! Also, that boy needs his OWN ROOM! Because boys that age are going to start having involuntary night time "emissions". It's just a natural part of growing up and he needs privacy for that or I can see some serious embarrassing situations happening. It's just not right! Kids need privacy! They deserve their own space to grow! That includes fresh, hot water for bathing! This lady may not beat her child, but what she's doing is still a form of child abuse!

Wouldn’t it be better, instead of sitting in the bathtub with the dirty water, to have a tank in the bathroom full of clean water -in the amount they supposedly use a day- and just use a small bucket/cup to splash/wash themselves with?
I could get cleaner with a bowl and a washcloth, AND my eczema would not nuke my skin (seeing him come out of the tub covered in suds has me so anxious, sometimes if I thought I got 100% of my shampoo out and I get 95% out I'm itching until I rinse again).
Remember that expression don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. It comes from families sharing bath water once a year. By the time the baby the youngest gets in you cant see him through the dirt. It often would happen in June which is when most people got married. Can you imagine?
Your not wrong, dark creepy house, pale doughy people that look like they just popped out of a pillsbury can, and quite possibly would rather eat the neighbors cat then just buy a couple dollars worth of ground beef from the store.
I feel people being cheap for the sake of being cheap though We didnt have a lot of money when we grew up and I constantly have to remind myself that I can afford stuff Like for at least 2 years after moving out I would like never eat out Like Id get a 4 euro kebab here and there but the epitome of splurging on food would be chinese takeout like once every 6 to 12 months ... Ive been reminding myself a lot that I now can actually afford things and dont need to miss out anymore
It doesn't hurt to save money. When taken too far, though, being cheap ends up costing more than it saves. I especially hate the bath water thing, because they think it's saving them money, but it doesn't. In the US, the base price of the water bill includes up to certain amount of water usage. There's no difference between 1 gallon and 100 gallons. Similar with the using a battery powered lamp to see. It saves them no money, because batteries are often 10 cents or more per battery, while electricity from the power grid is usually less than 10 cents per kilowatt hour. These days, most bulbs use less than 20 watts of power. Literally, 1 bulb could be run constantly all month and still be cheaper than that battery powered light...

I think the only way to maintain a diverse set of opinions is to allow for a diverse set of lifestyles in a diverse set of environments, with obvious deadly exceptions. This here is not obvious.

If youre trying to save on electricity then why block out the windows? Wouldn't you WANT the natural day light
And probably because they don't want the poop to start smelling even more.
Lmao exactly, surely blocking the windows would be a negative thing to do if trying to save money ,I'd say these ppl are just mentally deluded ,if your worried about lights then how about don't block out the windows there for you would save the batteries on your lantern 😂
To save on heating snd cooling DUH! 😂😂
Why would they block out the windows if they’re worried about having light in the house without using electricity? The sun is a giant light. And it’s free.
I'm thinking they're squatters, and covering the windows allows them to not be seen from a distance.
I figured it was to help keep the house cool and not make them want to turn on a fan or something.
they dont want people seeing how they live because when the sun goes down and you have nosey neighbors they will catch on that you dont have power and call someone on you
@@cwag9442 if they were squatters they wouldn't call the show they would get caught

@Ramsey Ludlow well if you look at people like these you can definitely tell that they are unfit to take care of a kid. They would honestly be better off being ripped away
Sean Murphy I second this.... they are endangering their kids health.... prison inmates are given more comforts than these kids. I’m pretty sure where ever they go they will be healthier and safer.
