Great review as usual. I've got version 1 and they changed a few things on version 2. The date was moved from the 6:00 position, the day wheel was the larger of the 2 wheels and the crown was moved from 3:30. So, put these things back, keep the upgraded movement and add sapphire and there is your version 3.

Im not a fan of Orient's bracelets but I do like their watches. I have the Defender 2 ('Champagne' dial) which came with a 'plastic-y' brown leather strap. Comfortable size on my wrist. Busy dial, but excellent lume. Heck of a watch for $135.00.
I know this video is older but I hope you can answer my question, does the day indicator gradually move to the next day or does it snap to the next day?
The only thing i don't (totally...) like is the rather big dimensions, other than that... ALL IN!!! Lovely assymetric dial design makes it unique (if you like that...). I don't have this one anymore (and I'm not sure they even make this same strap), but they have one called Desert Patrol that looks similar. It help up really well!
Amazing Beata watch for the price. Orient are fantastic for affordable workhorse automatics, I own a few Bambinos & Tri Stars, they are fantastic value & pleasing to the eye. Nice review 👍🏽 Bless
@@JustWatches1 Sadly you may need to order online for certain models. Amazon & ebay can be a good starting point. Check out the Orient Automatic Watch RA-AC0K04E10B. I couldn't believe that Orient did a homage to the SKX. This Orient was under $180 but has now gone up in price. You know that this is more than likely going to be excellent for the price & kill the Seiko 5kx homage rubbish.
Thanks for sharing! I love this watch as well. I agree about the fact that this watch should "reside" on a strap. I have the black dial version with the olive green NATO-like strap and find myself wearing it most of the time. My other watches are a little jealous b/c it's getting more wrist time than they are 😉

Yes, the bracelets are definitely a weak point, but the watches are great overall!

It is gradual, it actually does it in two jumps over a few hour period if I remember correctly.

Couldn't agree more. Orient is the new value leader as Seiko moves up market. I just wish they had more releases in the US!

Can mineral glass be replaced or get coat over
You can swap it out for sapphire if they make a compatible one, I don't know about coating it

The Orient logo is a HUGE factor in me not owning an Orient yet. I think it’s ugly and takes up to much space on the dial.
