David hedison , one of the most important actors of this age , I really enjoyed to see him on this interview , he seems to be with a great shape already . Simply wonderful !!!!!!!
It's always nice that David spoke about Richard Basehart he genuinely loved the man and you can tell they got on well with the character's they played together. Anyone who loves Richard I highly recommend 'Time Limit'1957 with Richard Widmark my goodness the acting in that blow me away.( It is available on TH-cam)
David Hedison-a true gentleman.I had the pleasure of meeting mr.Hedison at chiller theatre on multiple occasions-each time he was a joy to speak with.one of the few true genuine people out there.
What a tremendous actor and gentleman. He and Richard Basehart had great chemistry on Voyage. I loved and watched all the shows and am now on the fanfic series of Voyage. Lee Crane aka David-- you now have the greatest voyage of all above in the clouds of Heaven. I am saving this interview as one of my favorites so I can always view it. A dedicated Texan
Great actor and I love his work. But I HAVE TO say that I hope everyone realizes what an RIDICULOUSLY handsome man this guy is....absolutely among the top 10 most handsome actors in Hollywood of all time. And to be his age and STILL look as fantastic as he does...with a still thick head of hair. I WISH I was half as good looking as him!
I sent the link to David and he said he was "very pleased" with how this interview turned out and he was glad all the fans were enjoying it so much. Diane
According to the movie, " Voyage to the bottom of the sea", the Seaviews Captain was a man named John Philips. But that was the movie from 1961. David Hedison will always be Captain Lee Crane. S.S.R.N. SEAVIEW.
Great to see David looking so good and, yes, young at his age. Also, love that he enjoyed Richard Basehart who was so good and very UNDERAPPRECIATED by audiences and Hollywood today. Both these men should be appreciated more, especially Richard Basehart.

Great interview. Steve did his homework beforehand. Thanks for the great work! Here's my one bit of unsolicited advice: Next time, put a mic on the interviewee so we can hear him over that background chatter. Good sound gives the piece a more professional feel.
Interesting quotes on Hedison trying to get black actors onto VOYAGE. By the third season I recall there was indeed a black crewman, but he was just one of those speechless extras who never uttered a word. He would sometimes be at the helm IIRC.
Como diria la cancion " Como han pasado los años" Parece que fue ayer cuando yo vehia esta serie. Todavia sigue muy guapo y mas interesante con esas canas. Saludos desde guadalajara, jal. mexico.
centurionknight I know that this was posted 7 years ago, but at this point in time, it would be impossible since David Hedison is the only surviving main cast member.
I wrote my own and also have written a sequel to Lost in Space,Land of the Giants and The Time Tunnel I used to imagine The Fly was a prequel to Star Trek That the professor played by Hedison invented molecular transportation that was in Star Trek

David still looks amazing even now, he don't seem to age one bit ;)
Christ! If he shaved off that beard and dyed his hair, you'd hardly think he'd aged at all!
I would love to see a sequel to Voyage
Best thoughts from a french fan !
wow, a shave, some hair dye and he could be back on the bridge of the seaview!
He's definately not young at 2012 he's 85 but, you right. He's got some sort of secret
He was in Young and Restless a few years ago
Doesnt he have odd green coloured eyes?
I love those Irwin Allen shows
me parece increible poder ver a mi galan favorito tan bien, tan lucido.me encanto Elsa

centurionknight I know that this was posted 7 years ago, but at this point in time, it would be impossible since David Hedison is the only surviving main cast member.
He's 90 now wow
Thanks for posting. Such a lovely and still gorgeous, gracious man. The best and hottest submarine captain ever! Sail on Seaview.
I wrote my own and also have written a sequel to Lost in Space,Land of the Giants and The Time Tunnel
I used to imagine The Fly was a prequel to Star Trek
That the professor played by Hedison invented molecular transportation that was in Star Trek
I replace the phrase "Work Hard" with "Work Smart"!
Also,a microphone closer to the mouth can do wonders
Awesomeo interview otherwise
