Sometimes, I wonder what it would have been like if Division Bell and Endless River were released as a double like The Wall was. It's very clear that they belong together. I'm in the middle of mixing that double right now! It's a bit difficult because they always overlap from one song into the next, but there are areas that fit perfectly. When you listen to them, you can easily tell that they both came from the Division Bell recordings. And, like W. Y. W. H. and On an Island, they are about personal conflict and disagreement. David Bowie covered Syd’s song so perfectly, and singing Comfortably Numb in his own way, adding some new angles to the song. Just amazing! He could have been a part of PF indeed

You are not only musicians, you are not just playing music ... you and your musical work merge and become the soul of all the deities that exist in this universe. Thanks for everything !!!
Thank God we lived to see probably the greatest musicians ever play together. I'm so pleased to have experienced the music from the sixties to the end of the 20th century. I find 90 percent of current music absolutely dire. Now deep purple have a new album out ,,, wonderful.
Bravo! Such a “Legendary” performance! This one will stay within my heart forever! Grey fading to white, I thank the Lord for giving me the chance to experience this tonight! 💫
The comfortably numb music is perfect, that accompaniment in the background is heavenly and then that display of strength and wailing of David Gilmour's guitar is extraordinary!

Wow! Progressive Rock is my pandemic soundtrack. To see David Bowie and Gilmore collaboration on Comfortably Numb speaks louder than anything the MSM can spew. Thank you for sharing this treasure!
I went to all 3 nights of the RAH shows back in 2006, yes Bowie was special, but Nick joining David and Rick for the encores on the final of the 3 nights was the highlight of 3 brilliant nights for me, precious memories.
zahr Music for me he is also the greatest guitar player in the world i know for others there are better guitarists but for me it’s Gilmour that’s what personal preference is all about
@@Rebelconformist82 Apples and oranges. People who say Hendrix is the greatest are living in the past, probably playing that classic rock radio all day every day with the same 5 songs on repeat. I've seen Floyd live before and it was amazing, I never got to see/hear the amazing Bowie live though. In these darkly weird times we need this transcendence through music, transcendence through creativity, transcendence through hope. I do not understand those people that don't experience live music as a spiritual experience. This gig is an absolute example of this. It can be seen on the audiences faces. Miss you David Bowie and Richard Wright and thank you David Gilmour, and everyone involved, for continuing to share the Floyd journey and your incredible life affirming and soul nurturing music - with all of us. I liked both of Ricks solo efforts, Wet Dreams and Broken China. I have not heard any of his duo effort called Zee and indeed just learned of it, I will have to look that up.
Pink Floyd is great but you’re wasting your life if they are your life. Get out don’t be locked down. At 17 you don’t have time to listen to a few albums a day unless you are creating them
Love the way Bowie shows pink floyd the upmost respect by stepping back out of the spotlight when gilmour was singin and doing his solo
Yes!
David bovie is always top of the best performance! You never mistaken David bovie for somebody else! What a great person David bovie! He still alive in hearts people, who loves him, his music!!!
David Bowie covered Syd’s song so perfectly, and singing Comfortably Numb in his own way, adding some new angles to the song. Just amazing! He could have been a part of PF indeed
Simply amazing, we will never see their like again in my lifetime.
Nor in another
@@RFazor took the words right out of my mouth.
So very true
No we won’t. But we have what they gave us.
perhaps only in heaven.
David's solo in this version of On an Island is one of his top 10 solos of all time. God, he makes the guitar sing and cry and sing and cry again. Just listen to the solo in the evening alone...
I cannot believe such genius. Unbelievable. Krass. Wundervoll. Beautiful. Magical.
Thank you for this music.
My heart and soul are so touched by these songs.
Those people were just sitting there in awe at the sheer brilliance of David Gilmour.
And some … were dancing ;)
All these Davids in one place at the same time. Too good to be true, says me, a David!!! Gilmour and Bowie are two of my favorites!
Truly amazing! I have been watching and listening to Pink Floyd for over 50 years. When I finally pass, comfortably numb will be on the play out list to all the guest who see me go.What a band who have given so much pleasure to so many people.its been a privilege to enjoy their music.

What a stunning collaboration, great to see this and by the way it did ease my pain, 🚀 heavenly, some might say 😎
Whoa you're here too Michael?
That's amazing!
@@mrdan5943 Whoa you here too? Me too! 🤩 This performance is a fabulous surprise for me.
Have a nice day to you , & Michael 🐱☯️🌌🏴
I second that
I think this was recorded BEFORE Bowie and Richard Wright died. Is that right?
@@bigtwit799 I think so, yes...I saw one of 3-4 North American shows just after this in Chicago @ The Rosemont Theatre, 5th row....with Richard Wright, & Phil Manzanera but not Bowie, Crosby & Nash...it was STILL a mind blower!
David Gilmour, and Pink Floyd have got me through some of the darkest times in my life. Particularly David, for his talent, the person he is, and that I connect with whatever frequency his music is sent through the universe.
My soul has been cleansed after watching this.
I just cry now , listening to this, not because of the personal tragedies this track has helped me through, but becuase of the utter legends in this video that have left us and this ugly world.
Whoever must’ve been there, surely experienced heaven on earth.
🌈 How I Wished I Was There!! 🌈
What a treat for the people who were at the concert!! Happy to see this today: Love Bowie forever and David Gilmore’s voice is soo soothing and his guitar is magical ✨👩🏻🎤💫🎸👑🌟
Why do I get an intense wave of goose bumps from head to toe every time I listen to this song?
Wow Bowie and Gilmour the man who makes his guitar talk fantastic absolutely Brilliant
Absolutely Amazing! Thank you for posting this!
Tears in my eyes for so many reasons ❤️
Wow just wow, Gilmour is just incredible, thanks for sharing
Simply the best of the best. Doesnt get any better than this..
If this doesnt help us forget about the world's chaotic mess for 22 min and 30 seconds nothing will..
Thank You David Gilmore for all of your fantastic music! Your songs have pulled me through so many things...Your music is incredibly Universal! Love on Ya, LAS, Northern CA, USA)
Lovely. What A Sweet Gift. Thank You.
Magic happens when the best enter the stage at the same time! Thank You!!!
I saw this “On an Island “ tour in 2006 when they came to Rosemont, Illinois. Fantastic night, thanks for the memories as Rick Wright passed a short two years later.
Wow! Had never seen this. Thanks so much! Happy holidays to you and yours.
A message to David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters: Here I open my heart and let you know that you will always live in all those who love you.
Never knew this collaboration happened til now! It’s a small nugget of happiness in a fragile world tonight
Thank you HD Pink Floyd for showing such great music. Lover of HD Pink Floyd. Loved all of it.
Good to see you Richard and David a Burst of nostalgia . thank you
Oh people! This music and this voice is part my heart and my soul!!! RESPECT.....
Awesome! Lovely! Can‘t get enough! Thank god, that I grew up in the 70ies and had great music like this💕
Two of the best musicians of all time, together. Antologic moment
Sou brasileiro mas amo o Pink floyd nunca tive a oportunidade de ver ao vivo más tenho fé que um dia posa conhecer o David gilmor
The comfortably numb music is perfect, that accompaniment in the background is heavenly and then that display of strength and wailing of David Gilmour's guitar is extraordinary!
Good Lord, the mix is perfect!! Cheers to the engineer!
David Gilmore, you are the Man!!! Love your music, your performance!
This is just medicine for the soul! Close your eyes and listen. Let the music take you on a beautiful ride to the most wonderful place you could imagine! Enjoy!! ❤️
Great 👌 amazing combination with the two greatest legend of the music ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨👍!!!
The emotions this creates.. nostalgia, sadness, joy and love. All at the same time!
I loved how Bowie was just happy to be one of the boys in the band.
He was a legend and a humble very funny human being, the world has lost another star 💫🙏🏼❤️
@@sandragraziano9864 not lost, just moved on shining above🌠🌌🌌🕊⚘♥️
Dave Gilmour,David Bowie and the late Richard Wright. Wright is the coolest cat. Great video
I',m a DJ... And you, David Gilmour, are one of my real HEROE of my Life!... Guitar best!... And voice best!
He is also a good man. Heart of gold.
Both of them, beautiful voices 💖💖
Respect my friend!
just love being transported - thank you thank you thank you.x
All i hear is heart...and when the heart sings people listen...ICONS.
This is so amazing. 3D indeed. I was able to witness that miracle by myself in Gdańsk. One of the best concerts of my life. Just awesome. Have a great day :)
Such a fan of David's guitar playing, he was the one who inspired me to start playing many years ago and in turn got my son into playing as well.
As a 51 year old, it's sad to be losing my music heroes.
Magnifique, grandiose .Merci à tous les musiciens accompagnant David Gilmour, le maître de la guitare .❤
Spectacular collaboration, that reached my very soul!
Heck of a lot of talent on that stage.
Gilmour... perfect pitch, always! 💕
I'm so thankfull that I was able to share my lifetime with those great artists. It does not seem there are any discendants of nearly that format in the next generations.
Es sind diese ganz großen Momente der Musikgeschichte, welche uns ein Leben lang begleiten und glücklich machen! Danke, für diese Momente....
each and every performance gilmore gives 110% every single time, extraordinaire
David Gilmour is truly the greatest guitarists of all time
Hes a truly great musician, but as a guitarist Hendrix blows him out of the water
zahr Music for me he is also the greatest guitar player in the world i know for others there are better guitarists but for me it’s Gilmour that’s what personal preference is all about
Absolutely one of the greats, regardless of what these bitch ass haters may think.
@@Rebelconformist82 Apples and oranges. People who say Hendrix is the greatest are living in the past, probably playing that classic rock radio all day every day with the same 5 songs on repeat. There's so many great guitarists in the world, we can't single handedly say Hendrix was the best, he was just rather quite good at what he did, which happened to be quite popular at the time.
One of the more influencial... but not the best.
Best means nothing in Music.
I don't have words, only tears of thanks.
Thank you Pink Floyd and David Gilmore You have been My Favorite Band for my Entire Life 💕
🤘😎
Awesome David Gilmore with David Bowie!!!! one of the best special Live!!!!!! David Gilmore Incredible!!!! Amazing David Crosby and Graham joy in.
This video should never be lost.
It belongs in the Smithsonian for the rest of eternity.
Rip, David bowie ♥, you were my first concert. Somewhere between 1972-1973, David was still ziggy stardust. Hara arena, Dayton, ohio.
Loving song rest in peace , David , Richard en syd both on star in the same heart, tank you very much for sharing this great moment of music tank you Pink Floyd en mister Gilmour merci beaucoup
I love Bowie's version of See Emily Play.
There aren't enough words to properly convey .. there's a lot of feeling and emotion in these songs, being performed by some of the most talented and profound artists ever.
Thank you!
Abso - f**kin - lutely Amazing, thank god these moments are captured!!!
Quel solo, mais quel solo!!!!!! Je ne m’en lasse pas, il m’émeut toujours aussi fort. Merci David!
This was beautiful. And honestly it still hurts that we don't have Bowie to keep doing these sorts of things
Got to love this,Very nice. This is going to my favorite Listforever.
Thank you David Gilmour for your life
This is so wonderful seeing them together! So funny Bowie trying to pass himself off as a younger.... Gilmore was born in 1947 Bowie 1948. They’re just a year apart.
WOW ,WOW, NOW I REALLY MISSED DAVID B. THANK YOU GILMOUR FOR YOUR DUET. WHAT BLAST.
All these experienced shared with us is never enough. Thanks a lot and hope to be gifted w tour after quaratine
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I just cried all the way through this, good tears, solid tears. Much love and gratitude for lifting me out of my pessimistic PoV this morning. Music does indeed have the answers because it has the ability and strength to ask the questions
