Nice shot of the puppers at 8:41🐕 The combination of the old school lens and the dehancing software does add a nice vintage quality to the image

Late to the party on this one. Great one.
    I liked this bit....
    "Are you Malcolms Dad?"
    🙂🙂🙂
    Fame at last Carey.
    Great moment.
I'm a big fan of vintage lenses. They all offer their own character. I tend to shoot with vintage more than my fuji glass now as I enjoy the process more. If you shoot across the light or into the light you can get some interesting flare and bloom and haze. Not everyone likes that but I find it adds a touch of old school vintage feel.
    🙂😎📷👊👍👋

Great video dude! Dehancer is a great plugin when you can’t be arsed with ‘REAL’ film workflow lol. Also, love the vintage lenses.

That lens still rocks. Love all those edits. My arm is 2ft that's how I visualize it... I like a good vignette but I noticed some photographers think it's like a sin to add it. Personally I think it works well... Malcolm got dehanced.. I couldn't find him 😊

I'm usually alot more careful with my vignette but sometimes I like to go heavy. Yeah that lens was fun to use. It's gonna take some getting used to

Very nice video! That plug in looks pretty bad ass! I just started shooting some film on recently inherited cameras and jeepers fuck, film is expensive! You got some great looks out of that plug in tho! I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl some time!

I just looked up the price of Dehancer and yeah, NOPE! Turns out I def WON'T be giving it a whirl anytime soon lol I'll stick to the occasional roll of actual film and the film looks I'm getting out of my Fuji in the meantime. If I ever win the lotto tho... 🤔😏

    Good video/review.
I only shoot my A7iv with manual lenses. I have the back button set to zoom in. After a while you get used to it, I never prefocus and I'm at f/4. But you have to use the EVF.
Not a fan of Dehancer's price, and they don't look like actual film to me.
For a quick and free "film look" in Lightroom, shoot raw... then use the Curves tool to clip off the whites and blacks (real film has neither), roll off the shadows and highlights with the sliders, add some grain, and most importantly do not use any sharpening. Real film photos are downright soft by modern standards. I also shoot with a Tiffen black pro mist filter to bloom the highlights.
    Have fun!

Yeah it's something I want to do more. I want to get more vintage lenses and try them out. Dehancer is certainly expensive, but I'll say, I tended towards "higher resolution" in my edits for this video cuz that's what I'm used to. But you can definitely clip whites and blacks and reduce resolution in the plugin as well.

@Carey West I have a full set of vintage Nikkor ai-s lenses, but honestly the Zeiss Loxia are smaller, built better, look nicer, and no adapter needed. They're not cheap though.

That's not the hidden pug. Intros and outtros generally don't count
