Homecoming was pretty much crap in my opinion. I had no issue with it being a coming of age story of sorts, but the movie felt like it was directed by a hipster. I had no issue would it being a story about Spider-Man in high school (considering the first avengers took place in New York), but what I do have an issue with is that they turned every student in his school into crap. Flash for instance is a very well-known character from the Spider-Man universe for the last 50 years or so, but in this movie they changed them from a high school jock that got all the girls, to whatever the hell this kid was supposed to be in this movie. As someone who grew up in NYC, this didn't feel like any high School I ever heard of.

In the Homecoming car scene you can actually feel the fear that Peter's feeling, the tension is built up very well because now's the moment he realizes he's been acting like a kid all this time and now his life's in REAL danger (if he does the right thing). That's why it works, because you experience what the movie is showing you.

Maybe some scene was a bit longer for TH-cam and they might have put the video down so he has to remove/edit those scene to make it work. For me, Universal is highly sus that they may have created the issue of some Hulk movei scene.

I remember the original TV series. I didn't watch a lot of TV back in the day, I preferred books, but I did watch that one. I liked it. I thought Bill Bixby did a good job portraying Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the green monster was impressive at the time. This was the late seventies so CGI wasn't a thing yet. The Hulk has always been a favorite character of mine and I would love to see a good movie with the character but it won't happen anytime soon with Universal holding the distribution rights. Planet Hulk is my favorite Hulk movie and I think it captures the real Hulk perfectly. I definitely agree with your analysis between the two movies. Holland has done a great job as Spiderman although I am still partial to Tobey. Not sure I buy Holland as Nathan Drake but that is a discussion for another day. Haha.

It was just awkward storytelling. 😆Just like the Hulk's origin story, Betty Ross being the daughter of General Ross is pretty basic information for a comic book fan. Plus, she and her father had already been major characters in Ang Lee's "The Hulk". I really think they just took for granted that "oh, yeah, you guys already know that's her father, right? I guess we should remind you".
My only real complaint is that you are comparing an almost "pre" phase 1 movie to a post avengers movie. Compare hulk to ironman, sam rami spiderman, or the xmen trilogy.
Again, Bruce did had a choice. He was risking killing himself to cleans Ross mess. The logical position would have been Him telling Ross that before he could have stopped Blonski, but now he couldn't. In the Ultimates the scene is like that. Bruce's tells the soldiers on Fury's orders that he's so dopped he can't transform and will die for they to respond that they're willing to take that risk. The change was exactly done to show that Bruce is a hero.

I for one disagree although It's true homecoming played it well I suppose I partially disagree with your hulk portion yes the movie was quite dull for its own rights however remember throughout the film banner had been fighting the transformation so much so that he attempted suicide and so just when he thought he got rid of it jumping would mean having to become hulk again or worse it'd be possible he'd die just when he got it all fixed up hence having to embrace the thing he has been fighting throughout the whole film making it perfect

This has made me even more disappointed in SheHulk. If Blonsky was such a terrible (as in low quality) villain why did they bring him back in that series? It makes it seem like they decided Norton was the Hulk movie's downfall. General Ross is still included and now Abomination is back, both portrayed by the same actor. The only differing variable is Ruffalo being Hulk instead of Norton.

The car scene was so perfect, every second you can just feel the terror and gravity of the position Peter is in.
even though Peter may have looked like he was afarid and uncomfortable, he had enough presence of mind to leave a tracker in the car
