Just got a keyboard at Christmas just wanted to learn some basic songs and stuff but then I came across boogie woogie and haven't looked back practising everyday
This was so nice! Thank you Henri! My request would be if you could do a tutorial of a similar (or same) type of ”classical” ish intro you did to your boogie woogie in the popular public piano video. It gives a nice contrast to the boogie woogie when it begins. Or was it even an intro or just a warm up? Idk, everyone I show it to seems to love it. It would be seriously appreciated if you could break it down on some sort. Thank you! 😄
I got inspired to take up the piano due to your 'tubes at St. Pancraas . 6 months ago at age 67. Now I'm here learning your advanced licks. CAn't believe I'm playing piano. Decently. Thanks Henri. PS. I sat down at a public piano yesterday and pounded off a boogie piece (learned from another 'tuber). People were listening and I got some applause.
@@drawdownwind6636 Yes, I've acquired a nice Kawai and am practicing every chance I get. My taste in material changed though, Instead of Boogie, I'm concentrating on "Epic" style piano. Especially music by Two Steps from Hell, from the gaming world.
Henri thank you very much for help. I am learning Boogie Woogie already 6 months. Is a lot of materials but you show the most important thing. You show well lick and use in piano playing. Thanks again very much !!!!! I'm forty years old and I discovered a boogie woogie in my soul. I bought a piano because it is never too late. I'm practicing hard :) You help me a lot. You live forever :))))
This is my first time being on this channel, and it looks fascinating, especially since this is my first time hearing boogie-woogie and by a professional, none the least.
Thank you Henry! Really helpful and enjoyable. Also, can you do other right hand tutorials? I completely mastered left hand with your help and now need to learn right one. Hope will see it soon 🙏
Hi Henri. Thank you! It took a few hours over two weeks to master this lick. It helps a lot when you slow it down. Would you mind slowing down both hands showing where the beat falls together. I've tried slowing the video but it garbles the sound. Thanks!
Hey Henri! I have been following for a while. Love your channel and everything about it. You are an amazing musician. I couldn't help but notice the Our Lady of Guadalupe candle, do you have a special devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe?
I made that tune up on the spot it'll take me a lot of time to go back and rediscover it. Why don't you try to work it out for yourself. Or..you could pay a piano teacher to show you.

Sad part is nobody plays boogie woogie in india but i still manage to learn somehow. You are my greatest motivation. I don't earn but i am willing to donate
Henri, love your tutorials, they're priceless. However, in this one, the lick you play from 01:35 doesn't match exactly what you show when you switch to the overhead camera and break it down slowly...there are less notes just before you resolve it at middle C.
I'm not sure, but the only difference is on the beginning octave g, with included c. all other difference seems by changing a bit the rhythm and playing only part of its
