Thanks, great info, my son and his wife are taking the course now. They just arrived from China. My son is an English teacher from Colorado. They are so excited about this and I feel better as a mother watching your video.
just came back from Scuba Junkie Mabul right after the interstate travel lifted … did 4days fun dives in both Mabul & Sipadan Islands, you should try night dive in front of the jetty next time it's magnificent!! All the scuba junkie crews are so so friendly and helpful, definitely will go back next time
Ah, this reminds me of when I did mine on Pulau Tenggol, Terengganu all those years ago, as well as my trip to Mabul, where I stayed at Uncle Chang's 😊 By the way, I didn't know that we have blue ringed octopi *here* ! Thought they only live in Australia. Regarding the fish, yeah, it's sad that some of the locals (and allegedly foreigners) still resort to fish bombings and cyanide fishing to get food and money on their table. They need farming and aquaculture, but the thing is, they *can't* do it on Mabul 😔
Love to hear this brought back some memories of your diving training! And yes, it is sad and a little bit disturbing. Even though I understand the aspect of economic competition (especially on the local side), you would somehow think we have learned to consider to the long-term consequences over the last centuries - but well, humans are a weird bunch, right? 😄

thank you! I'm happy to hear that and I hope they enjoy their stay and dives 🙌
