Harmonicdyne "Elysium"? Greeks heaven, and stays with the trend. Would you recommend any other headphones over these in that price range. I was looking for 600 dollar range but I can bump up to 700 easily enough.
Use case would be a general use. Mostly movies and music. I do some gaming but I can switch back to my sennhieser 6xx for that if I don't like these for that.
After watching your GL2000 review last year I bought a pair and have enjoyed them immensely. I just got a Chord Mojo 2 and am was considering buying a used pair of Lirics, but now you drop this on me! How do these compare to the GL2000, and would you take the Liric over these?

Got these delivered yesterday, and I agree with Z that to my ears they're amazing. (Not sure what happened with the other negative and completely opposite review on TH-cam from AudioLevels. Subjectivity or defective?). Right out of the box without hours of listening time, they're definitely a significant step up from my Hifiman Edition XS that I'd been using daily. I'm running through an ifi Zen Dac v2 and Monprice THX AAA 887 amp.
I'm loving my HarmonicDyne Poseidon and Zeus(which I use for bedtime) so these are definitely to my wishlist. with Exchange rate to AUD they are $1000+ headphones. and you might be shocked that it's just from my Fiio M11 Plus.
Calling their reputation flawless and that they've never missed with a headphone, seems a bit excessive. The Zeus was almost universally agreed to be amazing, but the Helios and Poseidon where at least controversial. Btw, how do they compare to the Anandas? Seeing how they're at the same price
Anandas are a different signature. Id almost put those into a more relaxed category then these. These feel faster and more precise. Helios were so long ago I never knew enough people actually ran with them but Poseidon was exactly what I stated. Amp Dependent as HELL. So mileage will vary.

I absolutely love the Helios. I know a few people were calling Zeos out for shilling them, but honestly for the price (wanna say 100-150) they were a great deal. Also a good sounding and also very attractive looking set of headphones.

I’m looking to replace my DT990 and these sound like what I’m looking for. My problem is the longevity of them because I want them to last me many many years. What’s their warranty like ?
Not worth it imo. A good Headphone AMP + G200 + Shipping incl. Tax will easily cost you over 1000$. Only buy high-end stuff after you could try it out in a hifi store or when it's easy enough to return it afterwards.
why not just get a DT1990 then? The significantly (and as it seems permanently) dropped in price over the last two years. You will have the same manufacturer with no foreseeable issues regarding any part of the headphones, you can easily get a even a new pair for around 420€ and open box or B-stock for under 400€, they are cheaper then the G200 and you will have a distinct step up in sound quality, soundstage &c from the DT990. Plus whatever you use atm to drive ur 990s will aslo drive the 1990s. That said-if you wanna switch to planars forget everything i just wrote and go ahead.
Be careful reliability isn't chi fi's best attribute. I own like 10 different chi fi iems. And 3 of them broke up after a month or so. So trade carefully. My sennheiser iems are like 3 years old and they are still as amazing as it was brand new and I use them regularly.

Got my pair of these today. Yup they're amazing. More comfortable than my other planars for long term wear as well. Running them out of a Topping x Shenzenaudio EX5.
Holy shit....of all companies to do what I've been doing to lambskin pads for years with the perforations, Harmonicdyne comes out of nowhere and does it right. I'm not in the market for mid-fi planars right now but god those look nice. I'm half tempted to see if I can buy just both pad variations without the headphones lol, they look really nice.
@@joeyidontnoyu I mean...I have a pair of HE1000se and a pair of HE6, I definitely think the $500-$1300 ish range for planars is all kinda mid range. Think what's around that cost. LCD-2, LCD-X, Ananda, Edition XS, Arya, HE560v4, all mid range in their lineup. Low range of all of them would be like LCD-1, Sundara, HE400se level.
Hey Z's don't know whats going on but check out AudioLevels about this CAN. I don't think either of you aren't right, just the quality control from not Audeze or Hifiman. I truly desire a planar but it looks like I need to trust quality control over pretty.

I'm still left wondering what headphones these actually compare to so that I can get a better idea of how they sound. Like for example, is the SOUND quality that of a Edition XS, Arya or maybe a LCD-X? Having listened to Zeus and Poseidon, I imagine the sound signature/tuning of those (which are pretty unique, more so the Poseidon which I like the most) but on a big planar. If that is the case I can understand why Zeos was having such a hard time comparing and placing these other than they probably do shit all over the competition if you enjoy what I call the HarmonicDyne sound which sometimes I feel like I am the conductor in an amphitheater, Poseidon in particular can also somehow sound up close and personal or as wide as it gets, it just does both. Amazing headphones.

Bought the Poseidons on your recommendation. Rate them good not great. Then Linsoul puts them sale for 1/2 price. Not too happy. No more Harmonic Dyne for me.
Chi-Fi companies are paying huge amounts of money to top reviewers, they have good products but are often ruined by their poor QC. At this price point better just get Focal or Sennheiser.

Beat the XS for sure. In almost all regards. LCD-X are probably more "Fun" if that makes sense. These seem to be more neutral and yet more capable.
