I've had the same sewing machine since the early 2000s. I'm looking for an intermediate level machine now. Maybe something that can do some simple embroidery?
@@ProfessorPincushion thank you for writing it! I don't have anyone to show me this stuff so I rely on your videos and now your book! Very happy for your success ~ CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉🎊
I have a John Lewis JL110SE In candy pink. Is that still a good brand? Sometimes I like things that have a certain look besides function. Aesthetics since it’s a pretty pink colour sewing machine And from my Nan who sadly passed, I inherited her old Singer hand cranked sewing machine which I have on display.
Right? Sewing elastic can be a struggle. I have one machine that can handle it (in fact, it seems to do well sewing everything) and it's the cheapest machine I own, the one that cost $79. Go figure. ;D
I much prefer vintage machines like singer 201 401 431 and husqvarnas no electronics that can break and very long lasting macines as well. I will personally never buy modern machine since most of them cant handle thicker threads and there is electronics that will not be availabla after some years. Also in modern machine way to much plastic that is sensivtive and plastics become brittle over time as well my mom had a singer 765 and some of the plastics are cracked and not available anymore as for buttonholes there are some tricks to do those manually with an older machine.
I was wondering the same. Just curious. I’m a newbie and have had a cheapie Walmart brother for years. My new Juki F300 should arrive today ❤ I know that’s the bottom of that series but I’m so excited about it!!
@@VTgirlandherbeagles I have the dx7 which is very similar to the F300. You are going to love it! I enjoy sewing so much more with my new machine. Enjoy 😁👍💙
Great Job, outstanding and I'm a gather trying to get to know my way around sewing for my kids stuff... thank you for your help and your knowledge. You are appreciated. Your going to get some cool emojis 💯💯🔥🔥👏👏🙏🙏👌👌✌️✌️🌹🌹

Factoriey use it. Pps too expensive for hobbyists.
Juki is considered an industrial brand, from what I've gathered so far from reviews
