Haven't stopped playing it since I bought it. One of the best albums of the year by far. Even though it's not right at the level as her previous projects, it holds its own very well. The reviews were disappointing but not surprising given that this is retrospective, self-reflective therapeutic work she put out for herself. I can tell Hold The Girl is the culmination of all that soul-searching she went through. Some people will not appreciate it as much if it does not resonate as deeply. However, I do. An 8/10 for me as well.
