Thanks for your reaction. NMIXX is pronounced as EN (as in "enable") - MIX. Lily and Haewon have the best vocals among the members but they are all improving continuously. This can be seen from the other members' versatility in this Tiny Desk concert. Lily and Haewon duet song even during pre-debut (Survivor cover) was so captivating that you would wish they did it longer.
I love this Tinydesk episode and I can't wait to look at these episodes for the other groups as well. Especially looking out for the word "special" since I'm know now what that means.

There are many live contents of K-pop idols, such as It's Live, Dingo, and limousine. In general, only the pattern is live, and the musical correction effect is excessive. However, Tiny Desk's content has several characteristics that neutralize them. 1. Don't wear in-ears 2. No MR&AR 3. One-take shooting 4. Use Tadeco Shotgun Microphone (Uncalibrated) There are no K-pop idols who have performed live while following the above four principles, and NMIXX is the first.
I wish I knew all this when I recorded the reaction. It's truly amazing and I feel I will look at these Tinydesk videos in a different light going forward

No "n" at the end, and "w" is... cosmetic. :P In fact, it is hard for many Koreans to learn to say the "w" sound; so English "wood" often ends up as "ood". The name is traditionally written as Jiwoo in English, but the standard romanisation is Jiu (though it would be confusing, since there is already a JiU, in Dreamcatcher, even though she is pronounced slightly differently, as "G.U.", or "Gee - you"). Haewon... one of the attempts was close :) "Hey - won" without the "y" sound would be best approximation. Or maybe "heh heh heh heh :D won". Or! Wait, I know! Say "heaven" but replace "ven" with "won"! The rest were good!
Kpop newbie? If Kpop was a game it would be like starting with the final boss. What you just watched is unique in Kpop, no one in the history of this genre ever attempted and succeeded to do what Nmixx (pronounced N-Mix) did that day: 1 shot take Shotgun mics No post production No pitch correction Live band No in ear Those are the Tiny Desk requirements, any group that refuses to adhere to Tiny Desk requirements will have their performance marked as "special", like BTS did a few years ago. So yeah, this is not only unique but it will most likely stay unique for years to come, hopefully Babymonster will try one day, I believe they can pull it off.
