    If this thief has a nursing license, the Texas licensure board needs to remove her licensure. This woman has no more business taking care of vulnerable people.

      Absolutely. 100% she has been stealing from all the vulnerable patients.
      SO SO many nurses these days are full time criminals, who pretend to be nurses.
      They like the access to the drugs that they can take and sell. And they steal everything they can from the vulnerable.
      THAT is why she's so worried about losing her license. Not because she has some vocation.
      She was so used to stealing from people who are infirm and unable to get help, that it made her figure she could expand her crime to people who aren't ill.
      She forgot that people who aren't frightened, in pain and ill, are better at calling criminals to account.
      This is just the first time she's been caught.

    My wife took over as PTA Treasurer and discovered that the previous treasurer had stolen over 21,000 using forgeries. The DA refused to investigate, so my wife did a full investigation (including trips to 2 other states to get affidavits) and handed it with a bow to the DA. He finally got off his dead arse and charged her. She was forced to pay it back, 6 months in jail, 2 years probation. I got to see her in orange coveralls picking up garbage beside the road.

      You hit the nail on the head with this. Even in court she thought she'd talk her way out of this one. My mother is a narcissist. She tried to sue me for grandparents rights of my children. With no evidence she thought she'd walk in to court with no lawyer and claim she raised my kids since birth. First judge believed her even though we proved her work schedule wouldn't allow it. We hired a new lawyer and she got the judge to recuse herself due to the bias she had shown. 2nd judge apologized to us that we've had to spend a year in court and all our savings when it's clear my mother is a liar. She was given nothing and has been out of our lives since. She was a master manipulated her whole life and finally ran into a judge she couldn't do that to. He saw right through her. It's such sweet justice when someone calls them on their bullshit. It typically has to be someone in a place of authority because they don't give a crap if they hurt their own family or friends.

      Yeah, usually-but banks and other companies like phone companies etc have a bad rep on refusing to close accounts even when proof of death is provided. Sometimes if the bank account has a modest amount and any automated deposits are stopped, the hassle the bank causes just makes people let the account go dormant or run out of funds ( especially being drained by service fees ) till it goes negative. Then the bank continues to be an asshat or just closes the account. That can last for a few years. She probably had some old checks to a long gone account or one that the bank had in the negative and were stupidly still assessing service fees, she shot off a check she knew wasn’t valid. That’s the hinky documentation she tried to use, mocked up statements etc.

    This is the part when the defense attorney respectfully asks the Judge for a few moments to speak with her client. Then her attorney drags to the side of the courtroom and whispers in her ear that if she lies under oath one more time she will no longer have a lawyer. And the client starts crying and swears she will tell the whole truth. Sigh. Been there, done that (not as the defendant but as the defense attorney.). But her attorney needs to step up and stop her client from lying to the judge. The lawyer should know this Judge is no-nonsense. She should have had her client much better prepared so stupid things don’t happen.

    • @Quagthistle
      @Quagthistle 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Mouse_007 I would say that people hate lawyers because they charge insanely high prices to defend a person's basic rights (i.e. supposedly God-given rights). Though this isn't entirely the lawyers' fault (it comes about because the government almost always takes the path of least resistance, which is almost always a bad outcome), they profit off of it at the expense of others. Furthermore, many tactics lawyers use, like the Alford Plea, are seen as unjust by the people, as it often lets criminals (with money) get away with crimes, especially crimes that other people (without access to money) would be convicted of and punished far more harshly for (because of lack of access to a competent, read: expensive, legal defense instead of a free public defender, most of whom provide a terrible level of service due to overwork). People see lawyers as the embodiment of all that is wrong and corrupt in the legal system, and such a view at least dates back to Shakespeare. As the Wikipedia states: "The line ["Kill all the lawyers"] has been interpreted in different ways: criticism of how lawyers maintain the privilege of the wealthy and powerful; implicit praise of how lawyers stand in the way of violent mobs; and criticism of bureaucracy and perversions of the rule of law."

    i am confused here. is it not unusual to take a guilty plea if one cannot prove innocence and current evidence points to them? often DA's will put offers on the table for a lesser sentence if one pleas guilty and doesn't drag the case into trial. there are a ridiculous amount of not guilty people sitting in prison rn. in fact, many have been later proven not guilty, yet the states refuse to release them and most are still being illegally detained. the courts and judges sure like to talk a big talk about morals yet spend the entirety of their time in some out of touch bubble playing golf and their noses in the air and head up their azzes. secondly, you will always notice it is the poor that are getting "layed into" by some slick talking southern accented hypocrite. for instance, good luck holding ANY of these judges accountable for anything they do wrong in any meaningful way. they literally get fined some pittance at best, walk away millionaires having already ruined so many lives at worst. there needs to be more leashes put on these oligarch lap dogs more scrutiny into EVERYTHING, not just these little snippets trying to paint judges in some bs light and narrative. no they do far more evil then good. don't believe me? take the time and actually watch them in action consistently and you will see what i mean.

      She may have a CNA license, that is state regulated. If she was an actual licensed nurse, you pick up a shift once a week at an agency, she could have easily banked enough to fulfill restitution. I know licensed nurses that have full time positions ( 36 to 40 hours a week/ by 12 hour shifts ) who then pick up a shift via an agency about 3 or 4 times a month-that agency pay is $$$! Some of them literally use the agency paychecks for most of their bills and bank their full time salaries. If they need X amount for the next month, and 4 or 5 agency shifts cover that-they will book the shifts ahead of time.
