I'm so pleased he pulled through, I know that predators have to eat too but it's really lovely when something miraculous like this happens :D
It is amazing the kind of videos the BBC does. They are in a class all their own when it comes to cinematography.
survival of the fittest and in this case "most immune" at its best :)
Glad he is able to survive the venom , who knows many generations further some of his bloodline may be completely immune.
The weapons of predators evolve in the same way as their prey evolves. Nature keeps a balance
ewwwww
Mozart from meerkat manor: The early years
We can learn alot about animals.God bless protect Ernie & meerkat families!
That would be so hard not to do something for the poor little guy. I guess it was probably comforting to him that Simon stayed close by.
Reminds me of Shakespeare on Season 1 of Meerkat Manor. Shakespeare took two bites and weathered them to bounce back to health.
Shakesphere was my favorite !!
I saw another documentary on TV and there was that poor baby Meerkat bitten by a snake, too. Except he didn't survive :'( I'm so glad Arnie survived, though! ♥
@0zwy That is true but it does make some people like me sad to see such lovely, smart, socialable animals go through pain like that !
Da lastima como estaba luchando por la vida.
I love the meercats you people thar film em are lucky to be near them. I wish i could too be by them not seeing em on camera but with my eyes in animal form
I really miss watching the meerkats!!!!
He will pass that immunity to his children.
It really is impossible for a Meerkat to survive something like that. I bet producers had their heartstrings tugged and fetched him so antivenom behind the scenes
Baby meerkat: barely breathing
Sibling meerkat: lays down on top of him
🤣🤣
*Claps at happy ending*
Good work Arnie!!!
Go Arnie💥✊️
In the movie :the beginning'. A baby got bite and didn't survive. The producers got letters about WHY they didn't help. They said in comments that it's nature and they need to let it run as it does. It's hard for them but...
Those are some tough little buggers!!
i love the meerkat so glad he pulled thou it ...i almost cryed for him ...
Awe the little noises he makes..
2:46 ~ SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MEMORABLE SCENE, SO TOUCHING AND HEART WARMING
He didn't get a full on bite, just a slight Nick. That's why he survived.
this is so touching :')
its weird i heard some snake venoms can wither if your still without any motion but for something that small to survive even just the smallest bite is phenomenal... Meerkats must be the toughest litte creatures around ha ha
Thank you for this wonderful videos, I wish we could protect and save the wildlife from all these predators in human form
These
Oh so sad,it make me cry
love+intention=healing ..
um.... that wasn't the meerkats' home i think.. its the snake's home..,, it just a hole that the meerkat find to avoid a predator
Poor little thingamajig
@FlowerOurQueen Soooo true!!
That is touching :D
TY :)
I believe Meercats have a natural immunity to snake bite.
I love Meerkats 😘
Pobrecita.. 🥺
Oh my gosh, I really thought he was going to die. This was indeed a very pleasant surprise.
so sad flower didnt make it:(
why can't flower make it? =(
I love these little devils
how the hell did he do that? a person would die if that happened to them
Oh, dear Arnie :(
poor timon :(
i almost cried, the first time now for about 10 years :(
but when he survived the questions in my head(did he died?why him?) became "jaj, he survived :D!"
Yes but the venom is not always deadly due to a more or less dry bite. Nevertheless glad he made it.
Simples
dang how the heck u do that upside down ?
;///A////; He has such a nice family.
Pffff that is something I could not do. I know you cant do anything, because its the wild and its suppose to care for its own....but I wanted to grab Arnie and hug him. They are amazing creatures.
Seems like a lot of the bites recorded on film are from puff adders. Flower was bitten by a cape cobra(which has a very powerful venom) in the face. She might have survived like Arnie or Rocket Dog if it had been a puff adder.
He makes it. There is another video that shows him later on.
I was hoping a hawk would swoop down and scarf his little ass up.
nearly cried
tough arnie.. thank god he survived^^
if he dies, thats sad, imagine u get attacked and ur friends leaves you for thier own safety...
if he survived, its nvr sad, its good news, it means he is stronger, he doesnt need dependencies, he has posion defense + 10 :P
Yes, AngelXmikey iis right. Like most animals, being bit in the face will obvisously lead to swelling around the wound area, e.g Flower from Meerkat manor (Her face swelled up badly) and, like Arnie shows, will most likely lead to Paryplasia, and the Venom will be quickly transsmitted to the brain, causing colossal brain damage, leading to death. But Meerkats have some sort of blood cell which can override venom cells.
meerkats are somewhat immune to snake venom, unless bitten in the face, like flower on meerkat manor, they probably wont die
Poor little fella :(
YEA!!!
Like what do you want him to do? Take that meerkat to the next animal hospital which is miles away and he would be dying on the way...
Whew...........
They obviously have at the very least a small tolerance to venom. Im sure they eat venomous snakes, which would all them to exposure as well as over time Im sure plenty have gotten bit and died... doh hehe the narrator said they have some immunity, whelp was just my $0.02.
if the people filming takes care of it, the meerkat loses the ability to survive on its own in the open... THATS worse off than being killed
Felt dead bad for it :( but glad it pulled through :)
TOUGH little bugger, eh?
Hmmm.... I'm glad he made it. :-)
2004 video quality lol
i almost cried to until i heared it survived
@rhubis yea even tho i would like animals to get help if they were hurt i also believe u must leave it as its part of nature
i cried a bit :(
that must have been one nasty hangover
If only humans could get the genes that would make them immune to bites.
Poor little guy. ;______;
Damn!
The snake bite didn't kill it?!
I know in this case there would have been nothing the could do anyway but I could never film this and not jump in to help.
This is so upsetting :(
not bad
BAD ASS!
Plus what are they gonna do when they get there suck the poison out? He still made it
it now has better immunity from snakes posion ..
poison resistance +10 lol
god i play too much games -.-'
yay, happy ending
Oh and the reason they don't fall ill from eating Scorpions is because in a split second before the Meerkat grabs it with its mouth, it tears off the stinger , which means here is no venom threat to it, making it like KFC to Meerkats. Yummy. :P
Ven will kill human but not meekat is because our body does not have faster antibody development then meekat. also our body DNA is different too. However that does that mean meerkat have more stronger ability then we are. Each spec have their weak gen and strong.
der awesome just think that bite could have killed a man but da meerkat...only caused him sickness for a few days THERE SO AWESOME...if only they were that good in being not easy to eat
see snakes and hawks have to eat to but i dont like watching a cute creature die like this. =*(
The sun at 2:58 reminds me of the Circle of Life from the Lion King movies.
omg!! poor him.-..Bad snake stealling home from meerkats!
your just like me i play too much games
Arnie?I thought u mean arnold schwarzenegger
@byakuya42 İ know right, but if he did he might not have lived
2 People are soulless
i almost cried @ 2:48 :"(
Because it would interfere with the study.
meerkats are amazing. we might find something out of them...
Although it bothers me also, I don't think their reasoning is that predators need eat. They want to show what really happens out there. Intervention would lead to less education.
o god ! tehse r called wild animals who lives with snakes ina sameehabibat and osmetimes confront it !!
and how would he have helped? suck the poison out? kill the snake? if he was attacked by a bird of prey would you suggest they rescue it? Most nature film crew's tend to stick to the rule to not get involved when things happen to the animals they are filming, and its the sensible thing to do.
@sn1pe352 The guy wrote that stuff hundreds of years ago, give him a break! A lot of his stuff is right though.
why ran into a drak hole,....:(
@TheBihxskiller how the fuck can they help? theres no anti venom for meerkats
3.40
i was sad up and till 3:64 now im happy :)
