Simon King, a member of the Big Cat Diary team, is back on the African plains to get to know a family of Meerkats. He works on sounds actions and mannerisms to help the family get to know him each morning in the hope of better understanding their lives over time. You can not have them as pet... They bite, and the bite can become infected. They stink, and will scent-mark their owner and the house (their "territory"). Being a pack animal, they may become hysterical if kept as single pets...
