214 is one of the song from the first album of Filipino Rock Band named "Rivermaya". It was released on late 1994 I think. Bamboo was the first "Frontman/Vocalist" of the band.
214 according to the composer Rico Blanco was derived from 2/14 of February 14 & another version is the first 3 words of the song (if you count the letters) are 2, 1 & 4

Then their bassist (Nathan Azarcon) went in and said "let me see the lyrics!" After a while he comes out laughing as he wrote 2/14 as the title (Valentines Day). They knew he wasn't serious about it, but when Rico Blanco realized that "Am I Real" matches with 214 he said that it's possible. They went with 214 until their album got released and they couldn't think of another title.
