I think if you bend the arm towards the track, that should help keep it in the track. You could make your own roller by squishing on a plastic bushing with channel locks. Maybe a PEX or PVC pipe of just the right diameter (I'd use a digital micrometer to measure). Or, you could snip off the rod, drill a hole in the arm in the same spot as the original rod that holds the roller, then bolt in a new generic roller from the hardware store. Problem solved, for good. Great video though, well done with all the edits and notations - thank you for the info, plus I learned about how the door panel works with all the clips and such.
Thanks for the video. I realize you guys didn't use a replacement part, but do you know what that would be, if one wanted to replace the little plastic piece? (I.e., what it's called)
Did not fix the problem spent the entire video taking off the door panel and didn’t solve the original problem of why it came out of the track at least fix your description
So sorry! This did fix our problem, and we do mention that we don’t have the original roller. 4:27 shows the arm actually pop back in place by using the motor. We do mention that we don’t have the roller and this is the second fix - the first being a year ago. Anything else we could have added to make it more clear?
