Epic final battle: revolution against the old Qing ways! Every time I think the Asian civs are op you realize that the Euros have several tricks up their sleeves that are hard to deal with late game.
Well played man, love all the revolution video's. I'd find it amazing if you were to go revolution in a team game, that'd be interesting to see, while having allies support you that'll make things exciting hehe.
He over bought docks, 2 would have been enough as he didnt keep up production long enough, i dont know what the precise peak amount is, very aoe2 style
You can also garrison units in your fishing ships (you have to use buttons maually). it's a bit risky, but in this match you could have done easily cause china had nothing to constest lake. In my water boom I prefer ship advanced dock as second card: ships train faster and docks are more resistant; this card is also useful in water wars.
I have been a subscriber of this channel for a past 5 months only thanks for keeping alive AOE3..... Also can you help me build a deck for PvP dutch common for supremacy or death match please..... I need them really No need water ones I need land deck
You should collaborate with TH-camr Interjection, Wish BigThunderMan came back. Good content man, glad someone is still putting up some AOE goodness. Cheers Samurai
The amazing Port water boom + OP revolution. That's wayy too much to handle for China in that game.😂 Maybe if he'd gone flamethrowers and ironflails- meteor hammers he'd have done better.
I would have done better if i actually took out water lol But that would have felt so wrong singe it was unrated and the mu is usually rly china favoured
China player played very badly. He had a rush deck but didn't rush at all. And when he pushed, he had a tiny army. I am not a veteran, but on a water map not even having 1 fishing ship is completely wrong. China has a good navy with cheap fire junks which would have killed SR navy and fishing ships. But china did nothing
@Tozzi Gabriele yep, as I said it's fun because it puts your ability to adapt to the test in AOE3, especially when you have stacked a lot of resources and the enemy destroys your TC and most important buildings. In a water map it's especially fun to scurry to a different location or Island and repopulate. 😂
Honestly a bit disappointed by SR video. A really risky strategy considering that during the first 10-12 min SR had nothibg against an usually ultra rush china. Then nice attack via frigate but luckily without any attack to a completely defensless fishing ships navy. Then i will never understand why SR did not retreat to defend base. He had destroyed everything in china main base. He had only to go back killing chinese main army and SR would have won wothout revolting and even by saving his colony. Then china would have been dovided in 2 and it would have been easy to kill both separately.
@@antwanmeave8504 i disagree. I play rush colonial with china. China is bad in age 3 because artillery arrives and enemies get ameliorations. China becomes stronger back in age 4 and 5 with old han reforms. So you better push at age 2 and keep pressure age 3 to go fast age 4. Pushing at age 3 is wrong cause at that moment chinese soldiers are the weakest. This video was made to show portuguese water boom, but there was no boom in water. To me water booms means taking control of water with also monitprs to bombard and having whales. Here a frigate took a lake without many fish when SR lost all his base when he could defend it. In another video he also attacked losing everything in attack and in main base and i think it is very dangerous in his strats. Also the lack of a 3rd (or 4th) typology of troop in his portuguese army was quite dangerous. Cacadores for anti heavy inf, dragoons for anti cav ... but china is mainly chukonu and arquebusiers. They fear artillery. Anyway, he won but he had to wait when he was vulnerable. I just argue that he risked too much in his strat, he won cause the other didn't push at all
@dansil92 yes, compared to its initial advantage in age 2 and the strenght in age 4 with old han reforms, china's worst moment is age 3. In age 3 the european civs get artillery, china doesn't. china just gets a medium-good cavalry, but other civs also get better soldiers and good ameliorations. I repat: china is strong in age 2 and age 4, in the middle it loses a bit of its strenght.
@dansil92 still disagree. Changdao and arquebusier have worse cards compared to those affecting chukonu and pikes. While other civs at age 3 have better boosts. You talk about a 1vs1, china in 1vs1 is risky. I usually play with clan cause i always make the first line while they cover. In 1vs1 the problem of china is being weak. But if you let the enemy going to age 3 and 4, china is good but the two shipments you said won't save you. Meteor hammers are quite weak and if you let china attacking yoi with mortara it means you don't push. I still remain pn the idea that if you send wisely northern refugees for 3-5 villies and then you slow down even your age 2. On age 2 you can boom and harass your enemy. But the momsnt they get age 3, they turtle well with artillery and china has difficulties cause no tanks till age 4. If the opponent is smart, he will push at that moment. I don't say that china is bad, i just say that fhe weakest age for china is the 3. Considering also high costs for chinese age 3 armies. In age 2 you can spam flamethrowers that complete pikes and chukonu for cheap costs.
@dansil92 sorry but the one who ignores facts is you. China has its best cards in age 4 and has the best initial rush due to banner armies and a good composition pikes + chukonu not costing gold that is needed to age up. age 3 is good, don't misunderstands me, but not the best age in which china will play. all the civs have strenghts and weaknesses and china is weaker in age 3, with not ameliorated cav and not best performing infantry in age 3. Of course that if you can manage well civs, you are good in each age, but my argument is comparative to other civs which start being performant in age 3 while weak in age 2 or in other ages. It is a fact that china receives its big advantages in age 4, not in 3, and china performs also a quite good initial rush with free troops from summer palace and good cards for 9 pikes, 8 chukonu, 9 chukonu + flamethrower, mongolian card for better raid on villies for cav and card for 7 steppe raiders. Then you go to age 3 with low ameliorations and you shine back in age 4. this is my only argument. You think differently and it means you play differently. But this SR's video proves i am not completely wrong. China pushed too late and SR took advantage of it. If age 3 was the best, China would have had a better army and a larger army but the cav died pretty easily and skirmishers died against better skirms (caçadores)

What an amazing game!!! Portugal is a fantastic civ. Great strategy, Fortress boom looks really cool. And that super large army at the end...WOW!!!
Thanks Gonza!!
Most impressive! I find it difficult to manage the fishing boats during a water boom
I agree pakchu!
Shift click to the next few fishing spots, 4 per whale as needex

love this map. also a perfect fit for ffa.
Its what the finals will be on!
Imagine if blue would have built 4 castles on the island at the same time, that would have been hilarious!

spies circling the outer edge of the map would be awesome
Cristiano Ronaldo is proud of you 😁
I've seen quite a few of your videos now and I'm always asking myself why you never get the health upgrade for your settlers in the market...

Why is going water lame?
