Thanks Liz. ❤️ Yes Jan stitched the design onto a piece of material which was then attached to a blank cushion cover. She's currently working on a map of the entire canal network which should keep her occupied while we wait to start cruising again 👍

Well that was an interesting, action-packed vlog even though you didn't travel far! The repaired/renovated cratch cover looks good - well done "mattressman" 😂 oops ! Canvasman 👏👏. Laughed out loud at your chosen synonym for 'detritus'; I think we all know it better as 'crap'! Poor Jan looked liked she was about to be blown away when she was fighting the wind at the locks - you've definitely got a 'keeper' there Tony 👍. Very sensible decision not to chance the tidal Ouse to York as you now know (in February) that the flooding got worse. I do enjoy following your travels so hope you remain water gypsies for a good while yet. Oh! And the mobile phone shots were perfectly clear. Until your next vlog, stay safe and take care of each other. xx

The original water gypsies are a tribe who lives around the waters in Sabah, East Malaysia and the southern Philippines - some on boats, some on stilt houses. They are called the Bajau, or Bajau Laut (sounds like badge and ow as in that hurts and Laut sounds like low - again is in ow that hurts, but with a t that is formed but not sounded. Laut means sea or ocean.) It is hard to imagine the two of you spear fishing for your daily food in the canals though. Tim & Jalika, Malaysia

Just of interest as a continuous cruiser, do the authorities take into consideration the fact that due to no fault of your own your stuck in an area due to flooding/frozen in etc. I no your suppose to travel a certain distance over time, but surely they make allowances? Great question! Yes CRT are aware that emergency situations like flooding and broken infastructure can mean boaters have to overstay on moorings. If we don't see a ranger then we always email them to let them know.
