Mike, I gotta say; you're doing such a great thing with these videos. You're breaking down all the great songs by the best band ever, and it's an invaluable resource for so many people, young and old. For those of us who share your appreciation of The Beatles, you deserve a big thank you!

Outstanding! Great work on those vocals!! I had that 45 when I was 11 years old and listened to it until I wore it out. Helped inspire me to learn guitar. My mom turned us on to the Beatles when she bought "Meet The Beatles". We used to go nuts and run around the dining room table for the rockers, then ease our pace for the slower ballads "All I've Got To Do", "Not A Second Time". My parents had a Silvertone HiFi console. When it was about shot, I took it apart and used the cabinet and 15" speaker and a monaural Wollensak reel to reel tape machine for my first "amp". I took the microphone from the Wollensak and stuck it inside my Woolworth acoustic guitar. It worked! The Wollensak actually had a 12AX7 tube for preamp. Hey! It's electric!
When we'd walk to church on Sunday, we'd pass a place called Monaco's House of Music. They had two showcase windows jammed with Rickenbaker guitars (all the models the Beatles used), and Vox and Fender amps. I swear I just floated away in a dream looking at those. Good memories.

Great informative "stories behind the song" once again Mike. Little tidbit from my end FWIW, I was almost 14 when the record on Capital was released like you stated around Feb/March/'65, there was a plethora of great sounding MOTOWN numbers climbing up the charts, and I actually was working one of my first jobs I ever (part time weekends) had washing dishes in a Brown Derby Restaurant. Nearly everybody working in the kitchen area were African American and I vividly recall them dancing and clapping and singing along to the record. Back in those days of AM "Top 50" radio, employers allowed us to have our transistor radios tuned into these stations, anyway...I never witnessed this outpouring of affection towards the other Beatles tunes (in that kitchen) that were so popular in that day! Would be interesting to talk with any of the "MOTOWN' folks and get there opinions on this particular number!! Thanks again for sharing!! Bruce (formerly TUNZ909)
