- This is an instrumental cover of La Comparsa based on the live performance of De Maskers where Jan de Hont was the lead guitarist.
Using a free backing track from Goran Tangring which can be downloaded here :- goran.tangring....

Played on my Fender Custom 56nos Stratocaster fitted with Kinman Impersonator 54 V3 pickups. Into an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 0-36 and the sound recorded in Cubase SX 6 on the computer.

Hi George - It's a Fender custom Stratocaster 56nos (New old stock) I bought it around 2010 and changed the Fender noisless pickups it came with to Kinman Impersonator 54 V3 pickups.
They were around £2000 when I bought it but now they have doubled in price. All the best Phil

I'm Jan de Hont from Holland and I made the arrangement in 1962 and recorded la comparsa in 1963 with my band ZZ & de Maskers. Thanks for the nice playing Phil, I love it...!
