Hi Olha. As I have said before, I love your modelling and techniques. Have you thought of producing a book in which you use your photographs to show us lesses artists the bit by bit making of a model. You obviously are really good at what you do and by writing a book with all the explanations as to how to make, fit together, rig etc detailed with photographs would help the newcomer. Гнуть на паяльнике! Я не знал, как согнуть маленькие детали, теперь буду строить корабль дальше! Пробовал мокрую древесину разными плоскогубцами, но оставались следы.
Mожно еще гнуть на разних стеклянних баночках и бутилочках (примативать нитками) мокрие рейки и сушить в микроволновке или духовке. После висихания таким способом (особенно етот трюк с орехом хорошо работает) рейки не деформируются после снятия с форми...

This is a very difficult question! For some reason I prefer walnut when I build models older than 16 centuries ... The younger generation of ships I like to build from pear wood! But it's hard to say what my favorite is - just every wood is good in its own way!

Yes, I had such a saw but sold it a few months later...
Bacause it was necessary to spend as much money on it as its cost - that it would be possible to saw something on it...

What glue are you using? It seems fast drying and... strong holding! Thank you!
For wood, I use carpentry adhesives such as Titebond II or PVA D3. Usually it is enough to clamp it for 20-40 minutes, but it dries completely in 24 hours... For planking - you need to clamp it for at least 10-12 hours!

But the stanchions I ordered from the store "Ages of Sail". Because according to the instructions they must be made of walnut wood...
Thanks for fast reply.The reason I asked about the grating because they are super clean and really nice. they're basswood? The grating that are in the Artesania Latina kits very thin and poorly made. Did you try bob smiths c/a glue on clear parts?

I haven't had a chance to try to glue something clear yet, but I'll try this CA glue!

I am surprised the bowsprit is not set into a hole. Will this just be glued down? If so, will you use just wood glue or epoxy?

According to the drawings, the bowsprit does not fit into the hull at all. It is located at an angle that visually pierces through the bow! So I arranged a square steps and will install it on a pin from an old broken drill!
A drill pin should be a good anchor for the bowsprit.
