Of course he's gonna do better, despite not creating this exact type of diorama, since he already has mastered all the other steps. Your trust issues are problematic, kid. I know it appears as though resin “creeps” up edges, however, it actually shrinks as it cures which is why it looks like this. The body of resin has shrunk down leaving the edges where is has stuck when in liquid form. Absolutely beautiful piece by the way!

    My father was a professional model painter for model shop windows during the 80's (AIR FIX MOSTLY), but also made his own robots etc, he was a maser of the art, It was pleasent seeing such skill in the video as it brought back memories and the fact actual talent still exists in this field, I paint very well myself and have thought about getting back into it now I am 43 almost. Great skill my good sir, from the 🇬🇧 uk.....

      I have the highest respect for people who take the time and effort to produce art that is so exacting, and requires such discipline to accomplish. I have a friend who has that kind of mental capacity, and has put it to use, in my own presence, many times.
      I was at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts once, and saw an "art piece" that consisted of a plastic stool that is used in most libraries with a box of Kleenex on top. The box was open, and the Kleenex were sticking out of the box...
      That's it. That was the "piece of art that the Minneapolis Institute of Art" had decided to exhibit on it's floors [that shared the space of such artists as Gustav Courbet, Bartolomeo Passerotti, . Pieter Bruegel the Elder, William Bell Scott, among others].
      My own mind is FILLED with artistic ideas, but I have no talent to bring those ideas to life. I am glad you have that ability...GO FOR IT!

    This is incredible! I have built a big diorama with a hundred naked women swimming and sunbathing around a waterfall, and I used Woodland Scenics water and water effects. Some of it worked well, some not so well. I made the waterfalls from thick strips of water effects and streaks of cotton wool, and they look pretty good, but the plunge pool went a bit cloudy. It basically works, but your water is way better. The water is probably not the first thing you look at on this particular diorama! I tried to show it on TH-cam, but I got a three- month ban.

    I think it looks absolutely incredible. The only thing I'm curious about is how it would look if the outside black parts were textured and painted to match the dirt/gravel like someone came and extracted the whole thing straight out of the earth. Idk if it would look any better or worse but just a curiosity.

    • @banmadabon
      @banmadabon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The outside black flanks imho show some "fakeness" where they follow the profile of the little mounds. A simple horizontal edge maybe would have obtained a better outcome. But this is absolutely nitpicking because the diorama is outstanding. Bravo! As we say in my country "I'm making shoes to the gnats" meaning that I'm exceedingly trying to find the hair inside the egg.
