do you have schematics on how to connect the external stepper drivers. and a pinout for the arduino mega (im assuming a 2560) i purchsed a different kit and im having issues cant get my cnc up and running. cheers
@@MrJackbilly Sorry for the late reply. I think I used a schematic I found on google using the mega. Another way to find the pin out is in the source code of grbl. for the mega, you'll find that in the cpu_map_atmega2560.h file. good luck!
Only twist wires in matching pairs, EG a signal source and its ground return, or a positive supply and its negative friend. Just twisting all of them will have the opposite effect, it will increase crosstalk.
Thank you Oliver. I have missed you. I hope you are well. You look a bit more somber than usual. This is just me, I like doing it. Ryobi spotted at 0:50 and Swedish alphabet at 3:46 (I think). Be well and I am looking forward to the next one! Alicia from Sweden.
Hey Oliver 👋, have missed your videos cause I enjoy them all, hope all of your family is doing good 👍❤ . Keep'em coming and as always "Howdy from Texas "!!
Hello Oliver, Long time no talk to. Since we last talked and I was asking you about building a bike I have built several choppers and a bobber. The first was a 1957 Harley Panhead but I was hit by a Ford F350 and was wrapped around a telephone pole and had my right leg nearly torn off. During the time I have been learning how to walk again and building lots of other stuff I built a sportster dirt bike and an XS650 bobber. The XS650 has a right hand thumb throttle, right hand clutch, right foot rear mechanical brake, Left hand shift , a permanent magnet alternator, and deleted the battery and am using a capacitor. Hope you are doing well.
Welcome back dude, good chill video. Some day I would like to get a welder... but hey I got an angle grinder recently, maybe once I steal enough catalytic converters ;)
Dude I'm in trouble with the electronics but My table is only 1200x1000mm ish... What u said about the 2 motors kinda threw me for a loop. U said something about changing the wiring to get them working properly together so they sync to move together on both Y axis? I have 1000mm steel sq tubing but I have aluminium too and I think I might use some of both to get more strength into the table. I don't have the room in my 16x10ft workshop for an 8x4 table bro.. I have a table saw, bench drill, planer, and a lot of other tools, and I just don't have room. I would love to be able to build one the same as yours bcos it's an awesome build. I bought the Arduino and all the stepper motors-Nema 23's x 4 but one was damaged and they messed me about giving me a replacement. I have the Z Axis with a 42 stepper on it. I also have 2 nema 17's with the stepper drivers TB6600's x6.. I have a shed load of stuff for the build right now. Do u have a more indepth video about the build and how u got everything squared off b'cos steel can be a nightmare especially if u weld it. U have built a pretty sick CNC Router. I've only got into CNC's in the last 12 months. I know absolutely nothing about electronics or the software so I'm learning as I go. I have a CNC Laser Engraver too and Lightburn is handy enough to learn but right now with work I don't have time. Brilliant job anyways my bro.. I need to buy a half decent camera to make some videos myself and put them up on TH-cam and start a channel to show my work as I move forward.. For now I want to get building the Router table and I also want to be able to change it to become a Plasma cutter table too.. I'll get there man.. Better late then never, eh?? LOL Take it easy my bro.. Salute from Dublin, IRE..
Yeah I had to invert the polarity of one of the steppers on the long axis so that they would both spin the same direction given the same pulses. you just swap the two phases. I regret making a table this big lol. I suppose my best tip for making things square is fixturing really well with squares and clamps on a flat surface ( I didn't do too great of a job on that part, to be honest). I also have a 3D printer which is helpful to print out fixtures to get consistent drill holes etc. Sounds like you got a nice shop going! Good luck on your project!
What shield did you use for that girbl setup? just wondering cause I been looking for one able to plug drivers into like that! Currently I have to do all jumper crap and stuff for one I have that one looked really clean 🙂👍
That's an incredible set-up.Wow! Good to see you're setting up for many more options in the future.>Did you set this up so you can 2-D cut 1/2 a shape, and do a reverse and have a whole?Like the fish.If you have thicker wood to shape?(That wasn't a euphemism)
Can you please please help out with electronics and the circuit diagram and connections n electronic parts, Please help out I really want to try this project but am poor with connections @ Oliver motorized
I'm sure I glossed over some things so feel free to ask me anything!

Hope your good miss your video
Oliver there isn't anything that's going to stand in your way is there. What's the end game? Bike components? You're like a mad scientist bro.
I totally dig all your projects. there always worth the wait.
The best part was seeing how happy that fish made you lol. I can't wait to get my machine finished
Nice work Oliver! Really appreciate that you took the time to make this video 👍
A+ job there. It turned out awesome!

Thank you for that info!
oliver where are you? we miss you. come back.
Hey what happened to some new videos??? I loved all your projects
Excellent job! I'm planning on doing the same. The projects are limitless. Cheers from 🇨🇦
you know what you can do for your next build. you should use the pedals to start the engine. keep up the good work man.
Thank you Oliver. I have missed you. I hope you are well. You look a bit more somber than usual.

Very Cool !!! (Next Project - - - CNC Plasma Cutter !.. Would Be SWEET !!!)

Excellent video. Looking forward to future projects.
hey oliver are you gone forever or are you just busy? i hope you do a goodby video if you are not coming back.

Well done mate fantastic project very talented
My favorite channel hand down. 💯👊
Concradilesion bro! Nice job!!
You are a talented guy. Thanks for the video and God bless.
Very nice video. Did you also build the plasma cutter gantry. I am interested to see the Z axis setup of it. Thanks
Well Done!!! Everything about it...incredibly talented...considering your age!!
Why haven't you uploaded in 6 months? COME BACK
Just sayin hi. Missing your uploads. Hope all is well.
Welcome back dude, good chill video. Some day I would like to get a welder... but hey I got an angle grinder recently, maybe once I steal enough catalytic converters ;)
Dude. This is awesome. Genius.
Nice job!! Cheers from 🇧🇷
Oliver, where did you get the 8 foot rails? All I have been able to find are 3 or 4 hundred millimetre long ones.
You could cut plywood boat parts!!! 🤯

belle job mon ami
Looking good like to make one myself
Very good episode 👏
How you gonna make exhausts and frames and motor mounts out of that?
looking good!
Wow man good job.👍
Hey Oliver, what is your mos in the army?
What does something like this cost total
Hi my friend question what software are you using for your router cnc
Great job
What was the total cost

Genius
How much did the entire cnc build cost you?
genius
Badass
oh bro, pull on the belts. they must be taut)

What happened to this guy?
No post in five months this guy is dead
Have you got plans available, would love to try this as a hobbyist, great job, new subscriber here, thanks
