Can't believe it was your first crochet tutorial - I've watched hundreds and yours was the clearest, easy to follow and most professional I've come across. What a lovely project!
I think this is adorable! I have added numbers to each so kids can match and learn numbers. As a teacher, I would make one recommendation. Try to keep your hands more still, and don't cross your right hand over as much. It will be easier to see your work for those of us who are visual learners.
I made this, which was rather ambitious for my beginner self, with the intention of giving it to my neighbors 3 year old son for his birthday. I debated gifting it since it was my first attempt but let me tell you - he LOVED it. He didn’t want to open any other presents and just wanted to play with his turtle and babies. Hello! For row three on the front legs it says 3 slip knots, 3 single crochets and nine half doubles my is coming more than nine what am I doing wrong I do have a disability
This kind of thing just happens 😅, row one you should have 18 stitches, you have three decreases (crocheting two together) in row two bringing the stitches down to 15, so you should only have 9 hdc at the end of row 3....if you have more than that maybe go back and see if there was an error in row two?
I like the way you do this why are you lose me? Every time is on the legs you go so fast when you’re saying how many stations we have to do that I get all confuse do you think you could kind of like explain it a little bit slower when it comes to the legs.

@@Gut-BrainRevivial thank you. I just can’t seam to get beyond 7” Still, she’s very cute! Just finishing my second one. Thanks again for this adorable project!
How long does it take to make the entire set?
Took me about 5 hours 🐢
Its helpful if you could please slow down a bit with your instructions especially the Picot stitch… thanks
Note taken!! Here's a quick video that shows the pico stitch up close, I hope this helps! th-cam.com/video/sFVkb75O_D0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cDH4bGQF0FfZJm52

Head and legs for mama tortuga
💝
your pattern on row two of the body is dc in 1 the 2 dc in next and row three is dc inc dc not how u did it
Thank you for pointing this out I'll have to make the correction, row 3 should be (DC inc, DC) x12 repeated all the way around
Are these American on English crochet terms? Sorry I'm a beginner?
American 💝, that's okay I should start specifying! The first time I watched a UK tutorial I was a little confused at first 😅
I wish I could add a pic of what I made 😘
Me too!!! Are you on Instagram? If so you can tag me @jaymeshumblehome
Est-il possible d'avoir les patrons en français .. Merci à l'avance ...
Someone mentioned there's a translation button to give you subtitles in your language....I need to look into this!
I like the way you do this why are you lose me? Every time is on the legs you go so fast when you’re saying how many stations we have to do that I get all confuse do you think you could kind of like explain it a little bit slower when it comes to the legs.
