you can upgrade Nazguls with armored arms and Palpatine's hood
I made my own version of Thorin’s Oakenshield using a brown stud shooter a 1x1 round stud with a bar hole in the middle and the small twig piece.
I similarly upgraded Gandalfs staff, trying to replicate how it is in the Lego game. Unfortunately though it required blue tac for the diamond to sit on top of an inverted stud lol.

For the dwarves, I recommend giving them all mid legs. They're smaller than men but not as short as hobbits, plus all of the available colors exist too.

They did it in the rivendell set
A simple upgrade is giving each member of the fellowship an olive green or grey cape to represent the lothlorien cloaks

Just a suggestion for Gandalf the Grey, I used the BAMF Halloween Wizard’s hat that’s blue with gray hair. It work really good for a book and movie accurate Gandalf.

I love all the updates you made to these figures, it always confused me why they wouldn’t take the extra length for some of these figures. but you forgot about the Uruk hai berserker and yazz neg

For the time these figures already were highly detailed, most prints hold up today. Some things still werent done though, like dual molded legs etc because those didnt exist yet, but when they released these were some of the best figures on the market
Legolas would look (even better) with a olive green cape from the Mandalorian battle pack!!

The Lego Viking from the CMF is excellent for adding riders of Rohan and customs
I also made Eowyn shieldmaiden with a Padme head, wavy princess hair in light yellow, a gimli torso because I had a ton of him, and legs with some mail details
Plus a dark green cloak (I think it’s one of the shorter ones from Draco Malfoy)
Oh and change out the arms for flat silver or gunmetal ones!
That lurtz upgrade is really cool. I’m 100% gonna do that with my figure

All are great upgrades minus that Oakenshield. Too thick and bulky lol
I think making thorins shield just 1x3 works better as it doesn’t look too big and looks more like the size of the branch in the movie.
What’s “illegal” about the Gandalf hairpiece? Where’s that from.

Loved some of these upgrades. But for the bonus one, that kind of dagger was actually included in the set but it was hidden beneath weathertop in a weapons arsenal

I suggest using a piece of title 1x1 tree stump, 1 bar L 1x1 rounded plate and 2 rounded bricks 1x1 for Thorin. It's more suitable with the size of mini figure and more accurate
I always wanted the double color legs for hobbits, even in my child years of playing with Legos, I was adding 1x1 tan pieces under the short legs to show that tury are barefoot.

I hate that the Lego the hobbit video game had such cool looking original pieces like thorins Elven sword and his oaken shield.. would’ve been sweet to get in a set
Maybe put the new hood piece on the Ringwraith’s (also could at some printing on the legs) and if you want to have Aragorn how he looked when he was introduced you could also give him the new hood.
Aragorns neck looks like so long after this customise xD

I‘d also recommend ghost knight legs for nazgul, with jack skellington cloth pieces, and gunmetal grey/black dual molded arms. Plus the newer hood

Back when I was 13 I made it my personal mission to get every LoTR set and I very proudly did... then wave 2 came out and I was like oh shit... lol. I was missing Rivendell, the black gate, and the ship of Umbar.
i got the ship and the black gate for christmas back then....sadly i never got helms klamm and orthanc

Great suggestions for everything btw, loved the elf updates! I'd suggest putting a green narrow cape from the mandalorians on Legolas too, it looks amazing on him.
And one last thing, what do you think would be a good hair piece for theoden?

You could do the same thing that you did with the white hand banners from Orthanc for the rohirrim and take the banners from helms deep.

important misconception to bring up about brown pieces! it's only the old brown pieces, ones from around 2012 onward are fine
U should use the LEGO Flat Silver Minifig Weapon Bladed Claw (88811) in brown color for thorin's shield
May I recommend using the dumbledore hair piece for gandalf

The elf hair doesn't fit at all. Like it looks bad
That one pirate of umbar, is based on the one pirate who was played by Peter Jackson. I think that is why there is only one, it's a tiny easter egg for ultra nerds.

at 6:26 when putting on the hair piece for Gandalf do you have to push hard to get it on? even though it's an illegal building technique it looks so good on Gandalf.
On Aragorn I would have put the cape on top of the quiver so you wouldn’t notice the line

I always changed the ring wraths hood to the black hoods from Prince of Persia

Your Uruk Hai army is amazing and so big. I wish I had that much Uruk hai, but the polybag wasn't commercially available in Germany.

I just realized, that Lego did a Beard mold for every Dwarf but didnt made an Oakenshield. Why, its the thing Thorin got his name from, isnt that kind of important?

There was a Lego version of his shield in the game. So why not in IRL?
There is a set I have that has aquaman but he’s got a beard and long hair. The long hair has bits of grey in it like Thorins so I use it for thorin

Leyilebrick have done an amazing Thorin with his oak shield (as well as a king version), I recommend having a look at it
For me only Gandalf has a improvement

What do you think of the LotR Brickheads? Personally I think they all look rough besides Aragon and Arwen
A alternative for Thorins shield is the brown version of the stud shooter.
For thorin you should’ve used a brown stud shooter to give it the round log effect
Also in the hobbit Lego game he does have a custom modeled shield

Lego didn't include lots of parts that were in the videogame which a lot are in this video so yeah

i got the pirate ship ambush from ebay and they said all the minifigures were there but when it arrived the pirate had a random lego city face and aragorn was completely absent >:TTT
