I similarly upgraded Gandalfs staff, trying to replicate how it is in the Lego game. Unfortunately though it required blue tac for the diamond to sit on top of an inverted stud lol.
For the dwarves, I recommend giving them all mid legs. They're smaller than men but not as short as hobbits, plus all of the available colors exist too.
Just a suggestion for Gandalf the Grey, I used the BAMF Halloween Wizard’s hat that’s blue with gray hair. It work really good for a book and movie accurate Gandalf.
I love all the updates you made to these figures, it always confused me why they wouldn’t take the extra length for some of these figures. but you forgot about the Uruk hai berserker and yazz neg
For the time these figures already were highly detailed, most prints hold up today. Some things still werent done though, like dual molded legs etc because those didnt exist yet, but when they released these were some of the best figures on the market
Loved some of these upgrades. But for the bonus one, that kind of dagger was actually included in the set but it was hidden beneath weathertop in a weapons arsenal
The Lego Viking from the CMF is excellent for adding riders of Rohan and customs I also made Eowyn shieldmaiden with a Padme head, wavy princess hair in light yellow, a gimli torso because I had a ton of him, and legs with some mail details Plus a dark green cloak (I think it’s one of the shorter ones from Draco Malfoy)
These upgrades are soo cool and I think they really improve the minifigs. Also I think that the elves could be improved and turned into say the ones that go to helms deep
I suggest using a piece of title 1x1 tree stump, 1 bar L 1x1 rounded plate and 2 rounded bricks 1x1 for Thorin. It's more suitable with the size of mini figure and more accurate
I hate that the Lego the hobbit video game had such cool looking original pieces like thorins Elven sword and his oaken shield.. would’ve been sweet to get in a set
@@BrickLiHey Brickli, you make great Lord of the Rings videos, when I found your channel I had to subscribe immediately!!! I love the videos for Minas Morgul, Helm's Deep and Black Gate of Mordor. Your Uruk Hai army is amazing and so big. I wish I had that much Uruk hai, but the polybag wasn't commercially available in Germany.
I always wanted the double color legs for hobbits, even in my child years of playing with Legos, I was adding 1x1 tan pieces under the short legs to show that tury are barefoot.
at 6:26 when putting on the hair piece for Gandalf do you have to push hard to get it on? even though it's an illegal building technique it looks so good on Gandalf.
How is the Gandalf hair piece an illegal technic? Does it not fit? Is the piece not official? Great suggestions for everything btw, loved the elf updates! I'd suggest putting a green narrow cape from the mandalorians on Legolas too, it looks amazing on him. And one last thing, what do you think would be a good hair piece for theoden? U think cloud city Luke would work?
Maybe put the new hood piece on the Ringwraith’s (also could at some printing on the legs) and if you want to have Aragorn how he looked when he was introduced you could also give him the new hood.
Well if it isn’t da man! Your work is amazing and I really want to be like you and have a massive Lego collection. Did you hear that Rivendell is getting a $500 direct to consumer set in march of 2023?
Back when I was 13 I made it my personal mission to get every LoTR set and I very proudly did... then wave 2 came out and I was like oh shit... lol. I was missing Rivendell, the black gate, and the ship of Umbar.
That one pirate of umbar, is based on the one pirate who was played by Peter Jackson. I think that is why there is only one, it's a tiny easter egg for ultra nerds.
Where do you purchase your Lego Lotr minifigures, as I can’t find anywhere to buy any of the Lotr sets anymore? Other than some second hand eBay purchases?
I just realized, that Lego did a Beard mold for every Dwarf but didnt made an Oakenshield. Why, its the thing Thorin got his name from, isnt that kind of important?
i love your vids! I can't understand why there are so few likes for such effort!? You are top. Continue in the same spirit. thanks for your effort! 😊😊😊
Are there any other upgrades you made? Let me know👇
you can upgrade Nazguls with armored arms and Palpatine's hood
I made my own version of Thorin’s Oakenshield using a brown stud shooter a 1x1 round stud with a bar hole in the middle and the small twig piece.
I similarly upgraded Gandalfs staff, trying to replicate how it is in the Lego game. Unfortunately though it required blue tac for the diamond to sit on top of an inverted stud lol.
@@Regardforknowlage funny name
Were do you get your Lego orcs
For the dwarves, I recommend giving them all mid legs. They're smaller than men but not as short as hobbits, plus all of the available colors exist too.
Thanks for the tip
They can also bend which is nice.
They did it in the rivendell set
A simple upgrade is giving each member of the fellowship an olive green or grey cape to represent the lothlorien cloaks
Epic idea!
Always thought riders of Rohan were cool but they're all exactly the same
Haha indeed!
Good work on the vid !
Great work !! Definitely doing these mods!
Wow, thank you so much Ethan 🔥🔥🔥💪
Just a suggestion for Gandalf the Grey, I used the BAMF Halloween Wizard’s hat that’s blue with gray hair. It work really good for a book and movie accurate Gandalf.
Thanks!
Didn’t the books say he had a pointy blue hat anyways
I love all the updates you made to these figures, it always confused me why they wouldn’t take the extra length for some of these figures. but you forgot about the Uruk hai berserker and yazz neg
Thanks! Will make some future upgrades for you all
For the time these figures already were highly detailed, most prints hold up today. Some things still werent done though, like dual molded legs etc because those didnt exist yet, but when they released these were some of the best figures on the market
Legolas would look (even better) with a olive green cape from the Mandalorian battle pack!!
Thanks mate
Legolegolas
That lurtz upgrade is really cool. I’m 100% gonna do that with my figure
Thanks mate, have fun!
@@BrickLi I already did this long before you posted this video.
0:00 legless Lego legolas
For Sam, I’d suggest the backpack piece as opposed to the bag piece
6:59 What a killing joke, sir 💀
Loved some of these upgrades. But for the bonus one, that kind of dagger was actually included in the set but it was hidden beneath weathertop in a weapons arsenal
Thanks! Owh haha, almost forgot about that. I remember playing with that dagger
All are great upgrades minus that Oakenshield. Too thick and bulky lol
Thanks for this. Will definitely tweak a few of my figs. The Gandalf change is a must
Great to hear it helps!
What’s “illegal” about the Gandalf hairpiece? Where’s that from.
Wondering the same thing
The Lego Viking from the CMF is excellent for adding riders of Rohan and customs

Plus a dark green cloak (I think it’s one of the shorter ones from Draco Malfoy)
Oh and change out the arms for flat silver or gunmetal ones!
These upgrades are soo cool and I think they really improve the minifigs.
Also I think that the elves could be improved and turned into say the ones that go to helms deep
Thanks! Yeh, coming soon :)
Cool upgrades have you heard about the new Lego lotr brick heads and UCS set
Thanks! Yeah, I can't wait :)
I suggest using a piece of title 1x1 tree stump, 1 bar L 1x1 rounded plate and 2 rounded bricks 1x1 for Thorin. It's more suitable with the size of mini figure and more accurate
Aragorns neck looks like so long after this customise xD
Longneck Aragorn
I hate that the Lego the hobbit video game had such cool looking original pieces like thorins Elven sword and his oaken shield.. would’ve been sweet to get in a set
6:32 What do you mean by illegal building technique?
We need a part two!!! Fantastic video!!!
Hey Tim, thanks! Working on it
@@BrickLiHey Brickli, you make great Lord of the Rings videos, when I found your channel I had to subscribe immediately!!! I love the videos for Minas Morgul, Helm's Deep and Black Gate of Mordor. I think making thorins shield just 1x3 works better as it doesn’t look too big and looks more like the size of the branch in the movie.
I always wanted the double color legs for hobbits, even in my child years of playing with Legos, I was adding 1x1 tan pieces under the short legs to show that tury are barefoot.
Cool! I think my favorite updated minifigure is Gandalf.
Thank you Joseph🔥
Love your videos,keep it up
Thanks🙌🔥
Love the vid !! #teambrickli

"I would change a thing about him, but I would've added some stuff."
...
adding _is_ changing, sir
"Also, add his head...or keep it off, like in the movie." 🤣
Love mocs/improvements thx so much for this
Glad to help!!
These are great upgrades! 👍🏻
keep going my man
This are some really good upgrades!! I will definitely use these, great job!!
You could do the same thing that you did with the white hand banners from Orthanc for the rohirrim and take the banners from helms deep.
important misconception to bring up about brown pieces! it's only the old brown pieces, ones from around 2012 onward are fine
awsome they look so cool when are you going to do more of the lego hobbit? day four of asking
Thats great !!!
Awesome 🔥
Thanks🔥
As simple as that.
Great.
I'll try it
at 6:26 when putting on the hair piece for Gandalf do you have to push hard to get it on? even though it's an illegal building technique it looks so good on Gandalf.
Give the grey mando cape to Aragorn.
It looks really good.
Will do!
Black regular cape
How is the Gandalf hair piece an illegal technic?
Does it not fit? Is the piece not official?

Thanks mate!! Yeh, I usually grab Luke's hairpiece + the Gandalf piece puts stress on the beard :)
These are great dude!

Going to do some of these looks great
May I recommend using the dumbledore hair piece for gandalf
There’s gonna be a part 2? Amazing! Be sure to keep up the good work and just continue doing what you love!
They should add elf ears to the Luna lovegood hairpiece so it’s compatable with quivers
Gandalf definitely needs the grey dress piece
Which piece?
What hair did you use for Gandalf
The Lego games had custom modeled weapons that didn’t actually exist in RL, which I always thought was cool
I really hope lego is gonna start another wave of Lord of the ring sets
Love this! Keep up the great work. You're content is great
The hobbit abs LOTR line lego created was so epic!
They are sick!
Gandalf the grey to gandalf the slay 💅
Amazing upgrades! I've actually done some of these myself before seeing this video
U should use the LEGO Flat Silver Minifig Weapon Bladed Claw (88811) in brown color for thorin's shield
little improvements, great results!
Thank you!
Back when I was 13 I made it my personal mission to get every LoTR set and I very proudly did... then wave 2 came out and I was like oh shit... lol. I was missing Rivendell, the black gate, and the ship of Umbar.
i got the ship and the black gate for christmas back then....sadly i never got helms klamm and orthanc
If you put the dumbledore hair on Gandalf it also looks really cool
I‘d also recommend ghost knight legs for nazgul, with jack skellington cloth pieces, and gunmetal grey/black dual molded arms. Plus the newer hood
🙏 thanks for the tip
These customs are amazing
OK 6:57 is amazing
Yes it is🔥😂😂😂
On Aragorn I would have put the cape on top of the quiver so you wouldn’t notice the line
That one pirate of umbar, is based on the one pirate who was played by Peter Jackson. I think that is why there is only one, it's a tiny easter egg for ultra nerds.
Lego Lotr is coming back!!!!!!!!!!(probably thanks to your #bringbacklegolotr 😂)
Yeah, amazing right!? Can't credit myself that much, but making over a 100 videos in 2 years must have helped :)
Of course it helped, by the way i think this set will be rivendell
I always changed the ring wraths hood to the black hoods from Prince of Persia
Where do you purchase your Lego Lotr minifigures, as I can’t find anywhere to buy any of the Lotr sets anymore? Other than some second hand eBay purchases?
Very nice brick li much appreciated for everything you’ve done for me and love the content
Sam would work better with a world war 2 backpack because it would even have the blanket
I just realized, that Lego did a Beard mold for every Dwarf but didnt made an Oakenshield. Why, its the thing Thorin got his name from, isnt that kind of important?
That's true, interesting
Im back with Lego bricks over 30 years so I have no idea with these new(ish) parts. So I ask what pieces you are using with this Galdalf upgrade?
Some of the hair from the „friends“ series would fit the Urukhai or the men of gender very well….if there were any… 😖😆
I would have given Sam the explorer backpack, the one with the bedroll
Same here, tho I have to buy it
The Trolls need freaking upgrade coz in the game there just been Cave Trolls all the time. Where are the Drummer Trolls, The Attack Trolls?
I love both lotr and hobbit.
I would say maybe a 1x3 shield for thorin instead of a 2x3 would look more natural
Love the video
Thanks bro
There was a Lego version of his shield in the game. So why not in IRL?
6:28 Why is an illegal building technique?
We needed Gondor sets
We do
Why is that gandalf one ‘illegal’?
It puts stress on the beard piece
How do you actually do the gandalf hair thing
I forced the beard piece on, which puts a lot of pressure on the hair and beard piece
A alternative for Thorins shield is the brown version of the stud shooter.
For thorin you should’ve used a brown stud shooter to give it the round log effect
Legolaaaass
The elf hair doesn't fit at all. Like it looks bad
Leyilebrick have done an amazing Thorin with his oak shield (as well as a king version), I recommend having a look at it
I used an upside down musket for gandalfs staff
There is a set I have that has aquaman but he’s got a beard and long hair. The long hair has bits of grey in it like Thorins so I use it for thorin
Salam dari Indonesia saya pengagumu
2:50 its not a horn its a listening device, he got deaf in some battle
When you put the quiver on the elves you made them giraffes
What do you think of the LotR Brickheads? Personally I think they all look rough besides Aragon and Arwen
In fact I do remember the names of the dwarves in the Hobbit
Well done my Lord
