murilo is so underated he only lost to legends in the sport marcelo garcia, romulo, brauilo....he's one of the best black belts to never get a world title he even submited felipe pena and put tons of pressure on Keenan,forcing him to use lapel guard at the time when he was trying to hide it amazing fighter
He is so good, but just always is slightly behind when he makes those little strategic errors. He brought hell onto Romulos open guard, who is a nightmare in itself. And had he not pull guard after his failed sweep attempt, i think this fight could have been very different. Really wish he would have won at least 1 world title considering how narrow he loses to all the top guys
Dude barral had the best open guard spider guard against passers at this point in time, it’s fuking suicidal to stand and pressure passing is a slow inch by inch crush… the 2 points is what killed him otherwise he’d probably get a judges decision if he didn’t pass
@@Rogerio.Alexander I can only speculate as to what he was thinking, but it’s possible that because this pass requires you to really commit to it and be patient and keep grinding it out until you complete the pass, he may have just been thinking that if he kept at it he would eventually get it. It is his bread and butter pass he has a lot of experience with it and success, and it also has the advantage of shutting down the guard players offense. But again who knows what he was actually thinking
