American hero was my first baitcaster I bought, I loved it, I bought it at Dicks sporting goods for $79.99, I used it for a couple of weeks till I did a one handed cast and it flew out of my hand and landed in the water. I was on a bridge so I couldn’t get it back. Thanks for your service and keep up with the great videos bud....
I went to Bass Pro Shop this morning, I couldn’t find any of the combos you had mentioned, the cheapest one I saw was $170, sorry, that’s not going to happen, especially right now plus if I can’t figure out how to use it, it would be quite a waste. Please, keep the videos coming. Not only entertaining but informative as well.
Fellow vet from Ohio here brother. Just picked up one of these combos on my visit to Bradenton florida, landed a 5lb largemouth on it to top the evenin off. Caught well over 30lbson this combo and the only complaint I have, is the thumb clicker disengaging mid cast. Didn’t happen a lot but sure was frustrating untangling a whole spool of 50lb braid.
Been watching your videos for a few weeks now, and until this video I had no clue that you are military personnel. Thank you so much for your service , and the sacrifices you’ve made. Definitely makes the slow work days go by faster watching your content. Fire man! 🔥
In terms of bait casters I prefer Abu’s reels over lews, but I used my buddies American hero spinning combo before and it felt wonderful. Made me go out and by a Lews XP speed spin a few days later.

My advice is too turn the dial on the side of the reel at 10 or whatever the highest tightness is then use the knob next too the handles to make your bait lower slowly without it stopping then after a month or two after your comfortable then mess with the dial too he likes.

I have a Custom XP and that is my absolute go to, 17lb flouro and I do everything with it. Lews is the absolute best for high dollar and budget fishing.
I love my American Hero so much (the 7' black and blue model) that I bought another reel off Facebook Marketplace, then my AH rod tip got smashed in the SUV door jam, so now both my AH reels are on Hank Parker Lews rods. I love them! Scale of 1-10, 7.75

So I have the AH 7’6” heavy for swim baits and love it. I’ve had it for 3 years. It’s in a steady rotation amongst other Lews combos, 13 Fishing, Favorite and Shimano. Always some solid fishing going on in Florida. Great video as always TJ.🙌🤙

Dude that’s sick, the only baitcaster I have is an American hero and it is an absolute beast and one hell of a combo for its price, I’ve caught plenty of 5-7 pound bass on it. It’s also extremely versatile!!!
i own a lews american hero baitcaster combo, i love the one i have, the rod is 6’ 6” rod, i know the rod combo i have can handle almost any fishing, the rod has caught more catfish than what i have attended to use it for bass buthey at least i know if it comes down to it then i know what the rod is capable of, the reel is also smooth as well

I have never ever had a 100 dollar combo I use a quantum pl100 from Walmart and a mantis rod and i hop i can get this combo it will make me happy.

I have an American Hero spinner and I don't have any issues with it, it's one of my favorite combos.

Best baitcaster for $100 or less there is. It's my go to combo. The camo one I believe has an upgraded rod also. Great video as always.
