A couple things the black barge the cars are being loaded into is owned by the company I work for (none of the tugs in the video are ours) probably being loaded to be taken to nucor steel. Now about the guy who felt it was appropriate I’m not defending his actions however it can get to feeling like we’re on display in the sense that people constantly stare and record and sometimes get in our way while attempting to work and it can get to feeling a little frustrating sometimes especially when you’re trying to move barges and people taking videos and pictures are too preoccupied to understand they are in our way however it doesn’t justify the actions of that guy. A really poor example of professionalism
We think we have a pretty good relationship with the operators. We are out of the way, and if we are going to be moving the boat around them while they are moving, we are listening if not talking to them on VHF. All are professional and I think understand that a high profile operation like this is going to draw the attention of the press and on lookers. This guy just didn't belong on this particular job. I understand that while his behavior was questioned, what did him in is not wearing PPE as required by contract (no hard hat). MM

He's moving on to other challenges. MM
This is adding insult to injury.as the cars are being abused & mistreated by using the wrong means to lift them as they are being deliberately overturned which i find extremly upsetting & offensive as the cars are being treated like dirt which is totally unacceptable & unnesscary as they should have been lifted with a sling & placed up the right way in the barge which is the right & proper way to do this. This is not salvage it is the mass slaughter of thousands of innocent cars that have died in the worst incident of vehicular stillbirth ( the term to describe vehicles that have died before being sold or registered & have never had a proper life which has been tragically cut short in this case by an act of gross negligence) The captain of this "Death Ship" should go to jail as this was entirely preventable & action MUST BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THIS NEVER EVER HAPPENS AGAIN It has already happened before with the TRICOLOUR & Why were lessons not learned from that tragedy? The needless death & destruction of pre registration vehicles MUST BE ELIMINATED AT ALL COSTS as this is a wicked evil waste of vehicles that is bad for the enviorment also & is totally unnesscary. There must be a worldwide ban on these death trap bucket ships which are DANGEROUS & UNSTABLE & are not fit for purpose.
Well it takes all sorts, its a bit old hat now isn't it getting your a##e out to show disapproval
What is going on in this video? Did a ferry sink? a container ship transporting cars? The bolder is conflicted.
Search golden ray. MM
@@MinorcanMullet wow, thank you
There are so many Cadillacs and GMCs!
It may look pretty, and poetic, and all, "building reefs" by sinking ships and dumping cars in the ocean, but the bottom line is still the truth: the world is dumping their garbage in the oceans. What could possibly go wrong?

Maybe he thought you caught him with his boyfriend!
Those kind of people are the ones you just enjoy punching in the face. Any possibility of getting this footage to the company owner?
No. Don't hit him. I needed a lift today! MM
Who is paying for all this?
I would think eventually the world's consumers of anything shipped across the oceans. MM
waait is that an tesla?
Would that be an OSHA violation for no hard hat?
I would think so. MM
how do i pay for some of your gas ?
Well thanks for the offer, but we are holding our own. Spread the channel to your friends and contacts! MM
I am amazed they don't shoot your drone out of the sky.
Let's keep the weapons out of this! MM
Sir Andy !!! You know well ,,It takes ALL kinds of people to make this WORLD go round ,,,SO this guy showed you how to make a ""BUTT"" out of yourself !!!HAHA Anyhows,, Great video & Thanks for taking the day to video it !!! YES,,That Operator has quite a talent !!! Till next time ,,""KEEP IT SAFE """ !!! Going Saturday to get the ''COVID"" shot !!!!
Thanks and hope your jab goes well. Gotta get one too. MM
Shouldn't some cars make it out in a salvable condition ? All of them look like complete write offs.
I understood that the insurance company stipulated that the cars be destroyed. Keep in mind that most aboard were destined for overseas markets and were not subject to meet US standards. MM
You talk about milking a job!!!
Tell us in a later posting that the drawers dropper lost his job....it would be justified.
He did.
Great Stuff!!!
Awesome video!
Thanks! MM
MM
@@MinorcanMullet oh trust me I’d much rather have a drone flying around the barge while I’m on deck than people taking pictures on their phones around the barge while we’re trying to shift or tie up. Y’all did nothing wrong at all I’m actually really glad I stumbled on this video it’s been a cool process to follow. The golden ray actually turned over right after my first hitch on a tug boat so I’ve been staying updated on progress. Unfortunately guys that work on tugs have a difficult time remembering to wear our hard hats because day to day they don’t get used. Not an excuse however I agree that crew member should have been dropped off at the hill for that
@@MinorcanMullet also that wasn’t meant to mean anything negative towards you I was simply trying to offer a perspective on why someone might act like that though still it doesn’t offer an excuse for what he did
