    Absolutely agree. I find the 3D Finisher a very useful tool. Irrigation after 3D Finisher reveals further debris even after finishing the classic steps of chemo-mechanical cleaning.

    One question; how do you know the WL during retreatment since a Apex locator can't be used? Is It based on the radiograph or ?

    How can we change the martensitic state of the file into the austenitic state to avoid cyclic fatigue ?? I think we should heat it up ?? How if so ??

    hello Dr Nasseh. would you retreat in a case in which you found exposed guttapercha for more than 1 day (due to losing a provisional obturation, fracture, etc.) but no symptoms or clinical/radiographic signs?

      @AANasseh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply. No, definitely not. Losing the seal for one day is generally not enough to get significant contamination, especially in the absence of a post space, etc. Cheers!

      @@san5a89 The area of coronal leakage is somewhat controversial. If the tooth has been exposed for more than a month but continues to be asymptomatic (no pain to percussion and palpation) I would recommend a revision just to be sure. But if the patient is economically challenged and the tooth is surgically accessible, you can try restoring the tooth with the patient's knowledge that a revision or surgery may be required in the future. It's alway better to make decisions on a case by case basis rather than broad brushing scenarios as universal rules. Cheers!

    You can finalize your instrumentation via 30 /0.04 profile file to make the cone fit easier

    Great technique Doc, thank you. In your opinion, what is the best rotary file to remove overextended gotta percha? Does XP-Endo work? Thank you.

      nothing can preditably remove over extruded GP. It all depends on the reason for revision. If it's a poor seal inside the canal XP 3D can potentially wrap the main cone and pull the external piece as well. But if it's good seal internally and the technique was deep, warm vertical, if there's already partial resorption of the semgement agpically (frail) it's nearly impossible to remove.
