Like you said I think this all came down to G2 just not showing up in the server. But also like you said they just expect to have hard hitters in the server every game and they need to have strategy and set pieces to fall back on if that doesn’t work. They just got out called and outworked in this series it was crazy to see.
welp, g2 only won their recent events cause hooxi wasn't in the team, stop always resorting to "oh we shouldn't have replaced x", "oh x was always better", "oh x was blah blah but with him in our current situation maybe we could've won this blah blah blah" if hooxi wasn't the problem it was nexa, if nexa wasn't the problem it was hunter, if it wasn't hunter it's hooxi, if it's neither of the 3 it's taz, sometikes players just have a shit game
@@yuhan4469 tough pill to swallow but it's true, the whole team itself relies on individual performance. Alongside with a not so great igl, it's not a good look. You're making it seem as if they didn't win with hooxi, they did Cologne, Katowice and Blast World. Your point of "sometimes players have bad games" is not a viable reason for a team in top 5 in the word to consistently be inconsistent. And that shines a lot of problem on their roster which leads to us pointing fingers on whose obviously the problem.
@@TzoKu G2 now relies on individual performance, which is GOOD. When you have aimers like NiKo, malbs or m0NESY you wanna force duels and rely on their aim, instead of overcomplicating rounds without any info on the map like Hooxi did. His calling was terrible in this year, but people seem to have short memory. Most of HLTV nerds are saying that Snax is bad, because he's old, haven't played in T1 for 5 years (except IEM Dallas 2022) and hasn't proven as an IGL, but in fact he is the right man for the job - has great game sense and knows how to deal with these type of players. There's a reason why G2 won Dallas without Hooxi - NiKo simply often played contact without overcooking "strats". Sadly, every G2 IGL will be blamed for their loss, because star players have immunity due to their good aim, but you can clearly see many individual mistakes like overpeeking or poor communication, which was in fact the real reason of most G2's losses
@@Kenobeno Stop lying, snax calls mid-rounds, which you can see on player cams, snax said it on stream or niko and hunter in interview. Even recently we could hear this on voice comms mid-match
I wonder what this G2 would look like with a better IGL and Swanii back as a coach. I can 100% understand why Swanii left but they had the best time with him as a coach.
My guess is when Valve changed walking animation thus removing peekers advantage they might lost confidence as you now have to adjust to something new and we know its all about feeling confident and not really that small change to the game. I know some people who don't like new animations because enemies peeking you look like they "sliding on ice" now and I guess for people like NiKo who changes his crosshair after a bad game.. this unexpected change might doubt their confidence, as we know a lot of CS players do NOT like any type of changes to the mechanics especially after 1 year of adapting to the game. 🤔
At some point during EF you can hear Snax on comms say "We do whatever this round, next round I will call" which doesn't bode well. It either means either mo one is trusting Snaxs calling or Snax isn't calling and someone else is.
The reason for such inconsistency in not just G2, in any team right now is the mr12 system. There is very less room for comebacks, so sometimes when your players takes time to get in the game, the game is already nearing the end, a team gets rolling with 7-8 rounds, more than half of the game is already done for them. And though its makes an exciting watch, imo it makes some undeserving teams to pass through based on whos day it is for them to later get steamrolled by another team. Maybe some tournaments should introduce mr15 again and see how it fares against the mr12 system.
35:07 Eternal Fire know where the A player is at all times. They know this because they know where the A player isn't. By subtracting where Eternal Fire is from where the A player isn't, or where he isn't from where Eternal Fire is, it obtains a difference, or deviation. The clearing subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective communications to derive the position of the A player where he isn't to a position where he is, and arriving at a position where he wasn't, Eternal Fire now is. Consequently, the position where the A player is, is now the position that he wasn't, and it follows that the position that Eternal Fire was, is now the position that he isn't. In the event that the position that Eternal Fire is in is not the position that the A player was, the round has acquired a variation, the variation being that he's in FUCKING PALACE, because where else is he going to be?
