    I’m a beginner to pianos and keyboards so know nothing yet, but when I went to a shop recently this one really stood out from the others in how good it sounded and felt to me personally. That said I am coming from a prokeys 88 which is way past it’s best lol

    That was proper entertaining. Loved the finish on the 1100 in store but not the action. This looks like a complete package!

    hahahaha nice to hear about @Pianoforever here! As a follower of both, it only remains to mention Stu to have the triumvirate of piano reviews...

    This thing is massive, mind you I have worked with someone in a studio when having to record them, they brought in their 88 keys in a case with wheels.
    I can see these being used on stage etc but they are extremely daunting when sitting on your desk.

      Daunting? It's the smallest 88-note digital piano available besides Casio's 1mm smaller CDP-S series.

    I don't want to buy this piano but I would like to buy these piano skills - good grief!

      You want to buy the 7000 instead.

    Does it have the same piano sounds as the Celviano GP310 (Berlin, Hamburg & Vienna)? Those are just awesome and I would like to be able to always “take them with me” on the road. (GP310 is not make for that, obviously)

    The uneven resistance between white keys and black keys happened to all sorts of products a few generations back.

    If Jack's mic sounds that bad imagine how good Jack must sound in person 😆

    How does this compare to the Roland fx30?

      Roland has a better hammer action imo

    Jack, could you put weights on it?

    • @nickvledder
      @nickvledder ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, weights mean little. The key-response is way more important. The Yamaha P-515 for example has outstanding key-response.

    • @Tube2097
      @Tube2097 ปีที่แล้ว

      Numerous reviews have stated this is fixed. And looking back at the original complaint for the older 3000 series, as indicated before, the weight difference didn't actually really translate into how the keys felt and played on the older keyboards. The pivot length definitely was noticeable at the higher points, but apart from that it wasn't an issue.

    Where are the speakers located? If they're underneath, having it on a flat table is not helping with the sound quality.

    • @mrlazli
      @mrlazli ปีที่แล้ว

      speakers are locate at the back of the unit.

    • @Tube2097
      @Tube2097 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are 2 at the back on each corner. The 6000 and 7000 have 4 speakers.

    Improved key action is definitely cool but for that $ - having to use function key combinations even for voice selection? Yikes! I actually had a PX-S1100 that I liked but the user interface (or lack thereof) drove me crazy so I traded it in (and this user interface is identical)

    • @Tube2097
      @Tube2097 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is basically Piano focused so the lack of tones ain't a big deal and the basic form of selecting them is pretty irrelevant as a result. I own the 3100, but I reckon I'll eventually get a 7000 as it is a pretty significant upgrade.

  • @jonos138
    @jonos138 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    So, on the 3000 and 3100 you get a little display screen, but on the more expensive 5000 they take the screen away and go back to that having to hold a button and press a key thing?? How stupid is that???

      i have mine hooked up to a 98 inch plasma so I can see the menu.

    • @klauswiechmann3101

      i would buy a PX S5000 with a display of a px s3000.

    • @Tube2097
      @Tube2097 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's because this particular one is entirely mostly preset with limited tones. The 3000/3100 had over 700 tones with loads of modification settings etc. If you care to upgrade then you'd be looking at either the 6000 or 7000, which are huge upgrades complete with the screen again.

    What are you giving away at 100K subs?

    • @Tube2097

      Hopefully a Casio PX - S7000 haha. I'm a bit late to the party now though as the 100k subs is well done.

    "It feels better"? Put weights on it and find out. "Feels better" means nothing.

    • @mfurman
      @mfurman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I absolutely agree! We listen to all those sounds and the issue of the action is never addressed .

  • @mfurman
    @mfurman ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Instead of talking and mindless listening to sounds, it would be nice to take weights and test the action!!!
