Oh Leslie this looks so good .I must try this as my youngest daughter and my oldest granddaughter are in love with Apple Butter. So I thank you for sharing this with us. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed day and stay safe my dear friend. 🍁💚🎃
My favorite apples are Fiji and beautiful tart green Granny Smith apples and I love them for making apple pie. It’s makes a beautiful structure to the pie when u cut it it doesn’t spill out everywhere. But girrlll u know ur apples! Lol thank u for the information.🎃
I make applesauce and apple butter and will only use Macintosh apples. Then only use about 1/2 cup of sugar for a big pot full of peeled and cut apples. I use so little sugar because we just love the apple flavor.
I am sorry I know I've written you a lot of comments lately but you have some amazing recipes. I love apple butter and I never really made apple butter I've always made pumpkin butter. But I live close to Michigan I might go to one of the Apple orchards up there and get some apples and make some this year. Thanks again for another amazing recipe.
I boil the the peelings and cores just like I would to make juice from the fruit. Then I use sure jell pectin. The powdered kind. Follow the instructions included in the box. It’s tastes the same as if you used the whole fruit. I’ve been doing this for years.
@@cindyredden6772 thanks cindy! i’ll definitely be trying this out soon. i have some old apples and pears about to go bad, so what better way to use them than in apple butter and jelly! though i’ve never had pear jelly before hopefully it tastes just as good as apple 😆
No not lids to seal and storing food for long periods of time. However you can reuse the rings if they are not dented or rusted. Now once you open up a jar of something and are eating within the next little while I do put the lid back on and refrigerate but once a lid has been opened it is no longer good for long term or sealing.
Thank you and yum! My Daddy when I was little used to make black berry jelly. That is one fond memory I had with him. I would love to know how to make that too. My Granny used to make apple butter in a big black cauldrin over a fire. I always thought she was a witch lol.
Thank you for an easy to follow recipe for apple butter.

How do you go about freezing apple butter
Can you use Splenda for the sugar?
I am sure you can
I’ve never canned before. You mentioned how the lids made a sound when it sealed. What do you do to accomplish that? Did I miss that part?
the sound just means they have completely sealed correctly and the contents won't go bad
To farming pastor's wife how do you water bath your applebutter ?
Can you reuse lids and rings?

Wonder recipe, Please do not add applesauce to this.......Wonderful the way you have it...
What size jars are you using?
Half pints. Looks like a jelly jar.
Why not just use a slow cooker for the whole process?
We need smella vision
I use apple juice instead of water.
Do you know how to make Jelly?
Yes....I have made strawberry jelly
