I think Michala Petri is the greatest recorder player. Her mental focus, plus control of her instrument and body enables almost technical perfection. Her apparently effortless playing of extremely demanding passages is awesome. Out of "nothing" she creates the sublime and heavenly.
今夜偶然にこの人の演奏を聴きました。ほぼ同時代を生きてきたのになんと今日まで知らなかった。ブリュッヘンは知っていたしレコードも持っていた。リコーダーは大好きなのに全然知らなかった。透明感のある素晴らしい音。技術的にも超天才。素晴らしい。
初めて知りました❗本当に素晴らしい。。とぎれがなく、輪郭がしっかりしてかつ流れるような演奏。。しかも高音も低音も変わらずに美しい。どんな吹き方したらこんなに美しい音色になるのでしょう。。
子供の時から活躍されていて、この年齢ではすでに第一人者になっていますね。素敵な演奏をいつまでも御聞かせください。
学校の授業でこういうリコーダー演奏を聴かせて欲しかった😢授業のリコーダーってその辺の曲を吹かされれてテストされた記憶しかないなぁ～こんな私でももう少し興味を持ってリコーダーの音楽の授業に取り組んだかもしれない！文部省さんもう少し考えた授業ブログラム組んで下さい〜

これはすごい！卓越した技術もさることながら、胸に沁みてくる清純な音色、また別の部分では、底深い艶もあり、心から癒される演奏。一発でファンになりました！
タンギングがすごく上手なんでしょうか。音がひと粒ひと粒丸くて柔らかく響いて、とても心地よいですね。

As a foot-note to my previous comment ---- I tried to play a tenor recorder and I think all I managed to do was scare the mice out of the house. Kudos to Mdme Petri.

The sound is heavenly and it sings just and only just to me. What she does with the sound and to the sound on the recorder is angelic. Genius, genius, genius. There is no sweeter sound then the recorder sound of Michala. I have yet to hear a bird sing anywhere as beautiful.
ミカラペトリが演奏に参加しているブランデンブルグ協奏曲を持っていますが、正確、緻密なリズム感で素晴らしい演奏です。
素晴らしい音色ですねー。体調を悪くして気持ちを切り替えるため子供達の残していった小学校のリコーダーを吹いています。指の圧力加える角度、息の具合で全く音の出方が違います。結構繊細な楽器。ただ子どもの楽器は本格的な工房で作られているものではなさそうなので一本ずつでかなりな音の差が出るようです。音に敏感な子ども時代にいい音に慣れてほしいですね。なんて言い訳しましたが、腹筋が弱くて音程が一定しません。プロは本当に凄いです。
ふくよかな音。アルトのみならずソプラノでもふくよかな音色で魅了してくれるミカラペトリさん。２０代前半に録ったと思われるCD をこれまで聴かせてもらいとても感謝しているがこの演奏も円熟していてなお素晴らしい‼️ 見せてくださりありがとうございます。

I have heard her with Claudio Scimone 20years ago in Shibuya.
I was always wondering who is the world's best recorder player. Well, I think my search is over! Never even knew that a recorder can be played with such amazing virtuosity! Always though it was a mere training instrument for children at school, but I was very wrong.
Yes...i too consider Michala perhaps the best. I've never quite heard another one who plays so consistently perfect, clean, musical with a beautiful tone.

I first heard Mikaela about ten years ago and I was hooked then as I am now . She's a true professional. Difficult playing to a Japanese audience though with no applause after the pieces. Amazing video though. Thanks for sharing it on TH-cam.

They don't clap between movements of one sonata though, that's just a classical music audience thing, not a Japanese thing at all.

Can anyone tell me what the middle piece was, the solo piece between the Telemann and the Corelli? It was clearly one of those 19th century csakan pieces that can also be played on recorder, but I don't recognize it.

Julieta, it's like in portuguese, we call "Flauta Doce" but there's another classifications: tenor, contralto, soprano, sopranino...
In english, they call "flauta dulce" as recorder, and the "flauta travesera" as flute.
If had to make a very wild guess I would say it looks a bit like a Moeck Rottenburgh in ebony with ivory trim. But I am no expert

Marvelous performance, but the recording is problematic, in that the harpsichord is inadequately picked up, and gets lost behind the flute.

I am very sorry for all your praise, but I totally disagree. I have disliked Michaela’s since she started to get renowned in the early eighties because although technically she is extremely good, but she forgets to make music. Compare her to Dutch coming star Lucie Horsch, for example: and the difference in expression is very great.

Beautiful Music and wonderful musicianship. Dreadful recording sound quality especially, in solo recorder piece. If this can't be redone in better audio it should be removed.
Ihre Technik ist ja gut aber meiner Meinung nach wird es langweilig ihr länger zuzuhören... sie spielt die Musik wie sie auf den Noten stehn aber viel interpretiert sie ja nicht. Fast keine Verzierungen, wenig Emotionen.
Laura, genau meine Meinung! Brüggen spielt mit viel mehr Emotion.
