Mid-80s our hood got wired for cable and it was all about that HBO, Showtime comedies, National Lampoon's Vacation, 48 Hours Eddie Murphy, WWF on USA Network, MTV, Prince and Purple Rain. 70s childhood was milk money, riding the bus and/or walking home from school. Riding bikes through the neighborhood, staying up late on weekends playing Monopoly. My dad blasting Midnight Special on the TV to wake the neighbors. 😅 John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever (saw it at the theater), Bad News Bears movies. 😉 Deaths of Elvis and John Lennon 😢 Getting our big 25" color TV delivered 🎉 Kiss, Elvis, Star Wars cards. Burger King 🤴 paper crown hats.
