You're never going to open a restaurant Gaz. You're too busy living it up and having a restaurant is a major effort which requires a type of work and education I have not seen in you. Instead you live it up and are living the good life but you do not intend on offering your food in a restaurant so no need to lead your audience on anymore. Just be real with them. Living a good life is what you actually want.
@@InBeautyWayLLCI started working in restaurant kitchens age 15, full time at 16, 80 hour weeks for years & years before transitioning to making these video, which also take a LOT of work. You know nothing about hard work
Why am I crying ? The video is soooo beautiful and magical, the music is so perfect, Gaz being so happy and this women, looks like a fairy everything looks so precious, and I and I'm sure, we, are so happy for you
The videotographer does an awesome job on your channel! 👏🏾👏🏾😃This video looks like a movie in the enchanted garden! Beautiful scenery and nature scenery! 😃❤️
Hello Gaz and Tegan. It was great to see you with a lovely young lady and enjoying the amazing Wales woodland. My husband and I have moved to Llanidloes 2023 after 30 years in North Shropshire Another chapter Thank you for sharing 👍 ❤
The video quality is just craaazzyy on this one. Haven’t been watching the channel lately - but this just struck me. TOM is definitely cooking with them cinematography.
I like that he mentioned to leave some mushrooms behind. This is very important because if we don’t do this and all the mushrooms get picked there is a possibility they won’t grow back because they don’t get a chance to release their spores. Fungi is so important to the eco system so they need to grow back.
When I saw her, I was sooooo happy it fill me with joy to see you happy and being able to share your journey with a special soul. Peace with you both and may your paths be blessed .💐🙏🙏🙏
My father was a professional mushroom forager. He was picking them up throughout fall and shared with all family and friends. He dried most of them and they would last for several months. It's so much joy watching your videos. I usually do it when nobody bothers me and have all my chores done. Today I enjoyed my favorite chaga mushroom tea while watching this episode. I am so excited for you, your girlfriend and your future restaurant. ❤
Turkey tale mushrooms, the ones you weren’t able to identify. Medicinal and really delicious as a tea with honey. Congratulations on your beautiful harvest.
So good to see you happy, Gaz - not that I've seen you in a depressed mood ever - but we all know you've been excited about a partner to share the good life with XOX
I live in the Pacific Northwest where there is an abundance of Chanterelles, Matsutake(aka Pine), various Boletes, Lobster, Oyster, Chicken of the Woods, Lion's Mane etc...but, finding Hedgehogs is always the Holy Grail. The best mushroom ever, imho! Those ones on the log look like Turkey Tail (Trametes Versicolor). Again highly abundant where I am. They predominantly grow on Alder here. Prized for their highly medicinal qualities and sought after for tinctures.
Ah mushrooming in the Welsh hills, what could be better 🥰 they are the connecting nodes of the whole forest ecosystem, beautiful moorish food. So glad you have a companion for your journey 😊
5:43 to 6:23 reminds me of those tv shows from the past, such a lovely vibe, and the playfulness that comes through with your partner, so fun😊✨Honestly, I really hope they soon give you an opportunity to do show or projects. Whether it's for adult or kids. There's always this soothing and hopeful energy to you, and so much to learn. I know there are always gonna be people with even more expertise but the way you're sharing what you know in your style is so fun and interesting to watch. Something where you're in your element, showing off your beautiful place and educating people and motivating to touch grass once in a while😅😊
You should definitely do a mycology course with a local company. There are so many mushroom enthusiast out there that do sustainable harvesting or companies that do kits for home growing. We need to support these smaller companies and encourage more people to consume the best earth meat. Love that you guys stay educating yourselves on your local mushrooms.
In Czechia, mushroom picking/hunting (and then eating ofc) is our national sport 👌It's a big tradition in most czech families, and really common, natural. When someone doesn't want to eat them, he does the picking or cleaning - everyone can somehow participate. Good luck on your next hunt!
Love the energy you two bring !! We found chicken of the woods but was scared to forge because it was an urban area and wasn’t sure if they were sprayed with pesticides
As someone who did plant identification as part of my job before retiring (not mushrooms, but the recommendation still applies) if you have room in your backpack for a field guide that has photos along with one that has illustrations, you will be best served. I tend to like books with illustrations the most, as they often remove the "clutter" that goes with photos. But both types of field guides are valuable in their own way. Don't limit your resources if you have room in your pack!
What a dream come true - to hike, forage, cook your findings in amazing woodlands. Yes, please. Thank you both! Oops, all three (including the videographer☺).
This is just incredible! I love seeing how many of the mushrooms you find are the same ones I find in the forest all the way over in western Canada, in the Pacific North West. My partner's heritage is Welsh, and I want to visit some day 💚🌲🌲⛰️
remiding me of this summer when i spent about 10 days livingin a forest, eating food that very practical in nature, rather than tasty. one sday we found this same species of mushroom and we simply just fried it in oil and added salt.to this day, one of the tasiest things ive enver eaten.i have picked this mushroom before but the scarcety of great flavours and just the closeness to nature really made it into a food mermory for life.
I will definitely be ordering the mushrooms and bread as an appetizer! Thought I am in the states so someday when I make it over maybe you will have your Resturant then. You should do those tours your friend in Jamaica does. We can forage for mushrooms and have an out door cookout, don't forget the thyme! Haha
Hedgehog mushrooms are delicious. If you can identify them (definitely with an expert first), you should try the Blushing amanita as well. At 5:45 I think those might be turkey tale mushrooms, which are medicinal mushrooms as well. Your forest is full of edible goodies :)
Thank you Gaz for showing us that foraging can be more accessible than one might think, I've always wanted to learn more about wild mushrooms but it seemed so daunting and risky.. I guess I'll start with a few species, like you suggested (luckily living in Italy I could come across some porcini!) 🍄
Gaz you need to remember that you need to bring two cups & utensils to eat /drink from for your new lady too enjoy your great meals/teas. Even twins eat or drink separately! 😅😂❤
@5:45 those look like Turkey Tails to me but may be wrong. If so, they are tough and inedible but made into tea or ground into powder for medicinal purposes =) I adore 🍄 💕 always have. So glad you are showing them love as well.
It looks mystical there! I'm so jealous. I live in Australia so bushlands near me are very dry and don't support much fungal growth. But I always want to go out to the mountains the breathe in the splendour
aw i would have loved to come to one of your live shows ! i am from australia but am coming over to the uk on june 3, just missed out. ❤️ definitely do more, it would be so lovely to meet you and learn from you.

I want the book 😝 Gaz should have an avante Garde tincture cafe and fresh smoothie bar 🍵 a world plant food international enterprise.what a lovely couple maybe they could set one up in Jamaica 🇯🇲
you should be able to find pleurotus on larger tree barks, that are sick.Found a bunch today, look up as they grow at larger heights. What i found today was like 6-8 meters high. Also try to have basket with you, it helps to carry the mushrooms
Your bag can be easily fixed if you like it, you can take everything out and mend it. If you prefer a better bag a small duffel backpack may work well. Btw there is also a way to blot the bottom of mushrooms especially cap mushrooms to check if they are poisonous or not.
The way i teared up by the thought of meeting a partner that can take me mushroom foraging 😍😍😍. That would be so nice. Thanks for the tip of looking for a local mushrom expert. (Don't worry, won't ask them to be my partner)
Oh those lovely mushrooms look like turkey tail, need a look at the pores underneath, its a polypore, could be false turkey tail also. Turkey tail is a highly medicinal mushroom, fantastic for people who have cancer 🍄
Great Videos Gaz!!! Can you do a video for people who are new to eating just plant based. Which foods have that have the most protein…etc? I love your video of your visit to Jamaica with Chef Vita! I hope you two collaborate more! Blessings!
