You can tell that Glutonny has practically mastered the Pac-Man matchup. It's incredible how many times he managed to catch the items. Too bad that Kazuya can lock you into an unskippable cutscene, though.
Has he really mastered it? He started the match with an almost zero-to-death, but it still ended up being really close in the end. One bell into forward smash and gluto would have lost.
My heart was beating so fast throughout the whole thing! I was not expecting Tea to use his kazuya instead of pacman against Glutonny, but it was ultimately the correct decision. Glutonny had clearly learned a lot about the pacman match-up, and switching to such a different character made that irrelevant.
It was still a last stock scenario with Pac-Man I think Tea could’ve have still won with solo Pac-Man. But yea with the kazuya bs makes sense for the switch.
@@eanderson9599 Wario struggles against Kazuya because he basically needs to land on Kazuya in order to do usual Wario stuff. You never wanna land on Kazuya because of EWGF. If the Kazuya knows how to execute ewgf it basically beats out all of Warios awrials and he will get hit. It also doesnt help that Wario lacks disjoints so getting a proper hit on Kazuya is difficult. However Kazuya is combo food for Wario. Its just a difficult matchup for Wario overall.

That is hoe Kazuya is. Just a trash carry character that csn kill in one interaction. Does it require mega skills to do? not really. You can clearly see TEA drops a lot of bread and butters when Riddles do not, yet Tea humilliated Riddles in a ditto and beat gluto by just mashing out.

Feels more and more like Kazuya just shits on any character in the game who doesn't have camping options. Stuff like Cloud, Young Link, Lucina, ZSS, Palu who have strong to excellent space control while being way faster than him seem to be the way to go. It's not like Wario is a bad character, not in the slightest, but his strengths just don't work against Mr. Mishima, who feels like besides Wario's air speed just minmaxes whatever Wario is good at

They have some tradeoffs, but only seem fun to play and never fun to play against. Even then I think the fun to play them is diminished by how you have to execute combos and only fun when you win.

Such an amazing set. The switch to Tekken was instantly one-sided for Wario but tea is just that skill with those under pressure input for his character. I loved the reverse sweep he had preformed.

I get Kazuya's supposed to be the FGC glass cannon, but notice how Gluttony even had to respect Kaz offstage, which should be Kaz's little mac moment. An actual glass cannon should have a disadvantage on par with his advantage, like Hikaru's DK or Elegant's Luigi.
The Kazuya call outs, reads, into combos etc were crazy! Thanks to this channel for uploading these finals with post game footage so we don't know who wins by the video length! Had me on the edge of my seat after the Kazuya was picked. A great choice knowing his pac-man was being beaten.

I can't be the only one getting sick of Kazuyas steamrolling top players even when getting outplayed for most of a game right? Like obviously Tea is a great player but the advantage state of high level Kazuya is broken in a way that no other character comes close to - I can't even imagine how frustrating it is to play against.
Man kazuya seems op. Heavy = hard to kill, seemingly absurd recovery = even harder to kill, but only needs to hit you once with seemingly incontestable priority to paralyze you to death with seemingly unavoidable combos. The guy seems unkillable but only needs to hit once to kill and doesn't even seem to struggle that much to get that 1 initial hit... He doesn't even seem that slow, in mouvement, attack animation and hitlag to compensate. Maybe it's just a counter but man that seemed unfair.

There are plenty of kazuyas who can do them, you don’t even have to be PR to do them everyone I know who plays kazuya can do them. Tea looks just like every other kazuya, no one can do anything cool on that character.
He has a hitbox on his recovery so its hard to hit him on his way up without potentially trading, can stall with his devil laser to mix up, side b to mix horizontal, a very high second jump so he can safely drop low and just Up B. It’s honestly very good and add that he’s heavy so he can tank a lot

It's reeeeally not a matchup issue. Wario has all the reason, and tools to play defensively against Kazuya, but Gluto is still very aggressive and ate a lot of electrics because of it. He also didnt find a lot of waft openings this game so Kazuyas damage outpaced him by a lot

It's the fact that Wario is already a good/great character without waft and that there's bunch of Wario's moves that combo to waft, which makes waft more noticeable. On the other hand, EWGF nearly does everything (0 to death, 0 to 80%, kill confirm) to Kazuya, and its spammable in almost every situation.

Tea used to be one of my favorite players in Ultimate. Now Gluto is. That matchup is insurmountable. It's just so disappointing to me that the developers dropped all of these game-breaking characters and then stopped patching it. When 80% of your kills (and combos in general) are all the same, and it works against a top player who's constantly mixing up and bringing creative combos, that shows that something is wrong to me.
Glutto ended nearly every advantage state with opponent offstage. Tea mashed kill confirms at random till something worked. As much as I love watching Kazuya and respect Tea as a world class player. It hurt to see Glutto playing out of his mind. Then Tea playing like he was having an off day and decided his funny combos weren’t it anymore so he just recycles kill confirms to win.
That's Kazuya for you. As long as you know your combos, Kazuya lets the player just go unga bunga in neutral. What's scary is how big brain Tea is with his reads even as he's literally spamming moves, he still knows how to hit you with them.

It's just so disappointing to me that the developers dropped all of these game-breaking characters and then stopped patching it. When 80% of your kills (and combos in general) are all the same, and it works against a top player who's constantly mixing up and bringing creative combos, that shows that something is wrong to me.
Is not like they released Kazuya and Steve, saw them destroying everything, and left. Both of these characters didn't do jack shit until this year.

As much as I love watching Kazuya and respect Tea as a world class player. It hurt to see Glutto playing out of his mind. Then Tea playing like he was having an off day and decided his funny combos weren’t it anymore so he just recycles kill confirms to win.
That's Kazuya for you. As long as you know your combos, Kazuya lets the player just go unga bunga in neutral. What's scary is how big brain Tea is with his reads even as he's literally spamming moves, he still knows how to hit you with them.
Those kill confirms are hard to hit. People try to downplay it like it’s easy to do but doing it in GF against gluto is really hard.
