As a Norwich fan who was really upset when Farke was sacked I say congratulations you made the sensible choice. I hope your fans can have a wee bit of patience with him. At Norwich he took a year to clear out those not on board and to implement his possession style of play. It's worth noting our first year in the PL we fielded a back four of children! Aarons,Godfrey,Lewis and Zimmerman (ex German 4th Div no wonder we struggled! The following promotion we spent £60M on 8 players having had to sell Buendia. This raised some ridiculous expectation levels, how much did Leeds/Everton etc spend these past few years!! I enjoyed our battles with Leeds back in the 18/19 season, you beat us early that season but what must impress and give you confidence is that by the time we visited later that season we were clearly the better team. Leeds under Bielsa played some wonderful exciting almost breathtaking football at times. Farke was our equivalent albeit I always felt we were just a little more in control of matches. I am sure Leeds fans will warm to him as he has no time for players who are only playing 'for the name on the back of the shirt rather than the name on the front". October at Carrow Road will be emotional for many NCFC fans who still regret his departure me included.
great response this and totally agree about simularities with Bielsa, I always felt his style would hold up better in the premier league as you mention above. I hope if we do get there, he gets a proper budget & squad.
I reckon I’ll keep in touch with Leeds this year . A new brand of football . Real fit ness matters to Daniel . Give him 6 months and you’ll have a proper team . For me ,Leeds , Leicester to promo with Norwich’s playoff team . My favourite ever canary manager . Down here he’s the MAN ! You’ll love the guy . 🎉
It'll be interesting to see the impression of Farke on players like Adams, sinisterra, gnonto etc and whether or not he can persuade them to stay and play for him. Also looking forward to a brutal clean sweep ... farke doesn't owe any of the current players anything
Judging by the fact that Bamford scored a lot of goals in the pandemic season, it seems probable that he is very good with no crowd or in training, but that he cannot perform in front of a crowd. Anyway what Leeds need now, if they are to have any chance of promotion, is a handful of fairly decent defenders.
I don’t think Leeds would have been promoted in a normal season. Bamford is a prime example of a player who can’t handle the pressure of a playing in front of a big crowd. He doesn’t have the temperament.
Either going to be a brilliant decision, or a disaster. Hard to comment about him much because 'knows the league' is something hundreds of managers/coaches could also be described as accurately. Need to see the squad he's going to be able to use. HE had Pukki both times in the Championship who was one of those 'too good for the champ, nowhere near premier league level'. We don't have anyone like that unless Rutter is better than we've seen so far.
Very hard to evaluate managers because they can be very successful with one club and then not so successful with another. To be consistently successful a manager must be incredibly driven, and it must be difficult if you are dealing with players who basically don't give a ... as to whether the team is successful.
@@jonathanmonck-mason6715 he succeeded with the canaries in this division because he had pukki and buendia. we don't have the equivalent right now. i am hopeful, as always, but i am also fearful, as always. being a leeds fan is not easy.
We're the richest team in the league by a country mile. If we back the shit out of him, the title will be a cakewalk.. When he brought Norwich up, he didn't have 2 pennies to rub together. When he gets us up, he'll have a war chest behind him. This is gonna be fun.
Adams might not be able to go, as he may fail medicals if he's still carrying an injury and very unfit, same goes for Bamford and Sinesterrra, good players but no team is going to want invest large sums on players carrying injuries or only just recovered from
Please please please there is a taker for Harrison. Phil is a great journalist and writer but football intelligence is not his strong suit. Gnonto, Summerville, Wober and Adams are the ones we really need to keep hold of but realistically Adams will be hard to keep.
@@garyfryer5334 He's no Kewell that's for sure. Kewell had the ability to be one of the top players in the world until too many injuries. Harrison is an honest player who works hard but is average at best. He has a couple of decent games every now and again but always flatters to deceive and is consistently one of the worst set piece takers I've ever witnessed that's still let take them. Time to move on, the same with Bamford but I don't think he'll have many takers.
I really really really want us to keep Max the Roadblock. I rate him, have faith in him and definitely think there’s lots more to come from this great lad/player.
No way Aaronson comes back he’s useless. And does he or anybody else seriously think he’s PL standard, if so they wanna give their heads a massive wobble.
Funny our players are going to too European clubs or champions league teams, are these players rubbish or is it our terrible managers, why does nobody want ayling, Cooper, Bamford, forshaw, ? Roca and Aaronson have been playing with clown managers and players, roca and Aaronson hardly got a kick the last 6/7games, guess what, we actually looked worse without them
@@lightninggornall I think, as Phil Hay said, there's a huge difference in physicality between the European leagues and the Premier League. You also only need to look at Man Utd, Chelsea and Tottenham's transfer's over the last 1-2 seasons to realise, firstly, that managerial appointments are very important and secondly, that not all players can cope equally with different leagues. Ayling, Cooper and Forshaw age-wise are nearing the end of their ability to play in the top leagues; Bamford, with a high earning contract and despite his aptitude under Bielsa during the first Prem season, just hasn't been consistent enough to tempt a *better* team to offer a contract. The final point is that Central European league teams are more often than not forced to take our transfer approach from last season, offering contracts to less consistent but highly talented players in the hope that they come good; the top 6-8 teams of the Premier League distort perceptions into thinking every European team can & should sign only consistently brilliant, well established players, which for most is financially impossible.

“We’re all dying.” - Michael Normanton.
I’m going to think of this quote whenever I need inspiration.
Impressions of Farke - brilliant title
Remember meeting the son of Levi Solicitors on a stag do in Prague. Big Leeds fans and mental bunch of lads
It's scary how well Michael does the Farker impression.
I'd never heard farke before today. This is absolutely true
Were all dying ..😂 never a bleaker statement spoken by Michael you scoundrel 😂❤

I know there’s less money in the championship but was surprised phil having to moonlight as a pcso
He speaks English pretty well, although with a strong German accent. He knows all the jargon. "Ze lads done gut! Zey showed carrickter."
Now the march begins with Daniel Farke calling out the cadence.
It's all very sensible ,sensible isnt normal at leeds 😂,but it does give a bit of hope things could be good moving forward
Sam field, Molumby, Hamer, Darlow ,Philips, Pavon and Pedrinho
Farke is a brilliant manager will be extremely successful at leeds
I heard he took Norwich up Twice but took a year to get a tune out of them?
6 months to get the team ready for our first promotion but Leeds wil need to back him financially when you return to the prem .
Guardiola always tuned into Farke football .
Pep and Farke are best friends, they spent time together whilst at Norwich.

Minimum 75 goals then. Hopefully that’s the back of Bamford, never prolific even in that league.

Ive no idea why the club would even consider selling Gnonto. He has no buy out. So dont sell him.simple
Farkeing on Together....just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Adams might not be able to go, as he may fail medicals if he's still carrying an injury and very unfit, same goes for Bamford and Sinesterrra, good players but no team is going to want invest large sums on players carrying injuries or only just recovered from
why aren't selling these players, we don't want them back!
I've ridden an elephant - try getting your legs round one of those!
Feels ambitious. 🐘
Weston McKennie should be a Good Samaritan and offer to give his wages back for being overweight and just shit in general last year
But was he overweight? He passed the physical exam.
Yet for all his precieved bad play he was still 100 time more committed and performed better then Ayling.
