    It's been a while since I've used the gradient tool this way, and I was annoyed AF that it wasn't working yesterday. Then I realized I have to choose "classic gradient," and now all is right with the world.

    I think you missed quite an important step. You had to blur the replaced sky to match the foreground.

    I thank you for the video, but what I don't get with the tutorial tubers online is why they use a post produced picture as an example, why not use a complete raw and start from scratch as we can fully understand the nature of editing. While this is a great video, it is not like I'm going to download a retouched image and further down dramatize it in the real world or for business practices.
    I guess I'm asking too much for free. But thank you, I follow you and your videos are great.

    The sky is in focus but the cliffs in the background are out of focus. Makes it obvious something isn't right.

    • @samgreen5290
      @samgreen5290 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tend to use a gaussian blur on the replaced sky layer - it helps to join the two in a picture with shallow DoF

    With a white sky like that you be better off overlaying the new sky over they bland one with blend tools so you can keep the foliage. Another badly created effect that Adobe likes to throw out to justify subscription cost.
