There is a drink which originates in India called Rooh afzah, its a rose syrup which people all over south asia either drink with cold water or milk (my favourite is with milk). Its so cooling and hits the spot when its a hot summers day, it really feels like it cools my insides. If you ever want to try this delicious rose syrup- buy the brand hamdard. Hope you enjoy Maddy!!🥃🌹
Wow 😍 I didn’t know rose syrup was widely enjoyed in India! I want to definitely try this
I love introducing Banana Milk to my American friends and coworkers. They’re all grossed out when they hear about it, but then they become obsessed once they try some. Good lesson for them to try new things! Also I’ve made matcha latte with banana milk 😂 The bitterness pairs well with it lol
I love that countries that are so far away can have things in common- here in Chile we also love banana milk! Homemade or from the store, it's just very good
OMG I used to buy the big bottles of the rice milk when I used to work near a Korean grocery store! I think my local Asian store used to carry it too but I hardly see it anymore. I"ll have to look for it again because after watching this video, I'm having cravings for it lol.
Your cultural knowledge, vibrant bubbly self and passion for what you do is simply why I follow and enjoy watching your videos! It's so fascinating to learn and see origins of your culture's everyday foods! I cannot wait to try the Omija!! I take Schisandra Berry in pill form for adrenal health so I'm way excited to try it in syrup form to drink as a refreshing tea!! 💕 Hugs from Texas! 😆
thank you SO MUCH!! :)))
OMG the banana milk in coffee is sooo delicious! I would never have even considered buying it before. I’m hooked! Also loved the kimchi brand comparison video. I usually make my own but loving the 1000 Year one too! You should request sponsorship from these great products! Keep doing what you do. Always brings a smile to my face. 💜💟💜
Growing up, my mom would make us drinks with a flower called jamaica, or hibiscus in English. Ohhh, I love it. It’s really tart, but is just super when sweetened. We would have a cold, sweetened version (agua de jamaica) in summers, and in winter, you can buy kits to make ponche navideño, which is a spiced holiday punch. As you have had horchata, I bet you’ve also tasted the aguas frescas with hibiscus flavor!
Thanks for the video! Ooo a Korean alcohol review would be awesome too!
maddy your long form videos are my absolute favorite. I just finished your poscast series and im so glad yr making these again. I treasure them!
Thank you so so much for watching :) I appreciate you!!
I would love to see a more in depth taste test comparison for different misugaru! I get so overwhelmed in the aisle bc there’s just so many! Definitely gonna give the ones mentioned a try though
Great idea, I'll try to make this in a short form video!
Thank you so much for introducing so many Korean drinks to us !!!! I don’t think the H mart here has all these products but definitely want to try coffee with banana milk first
Still hot here and was wanting something refreshing to drink! Excited to try the banana milk/espresso combo, pear drink 🍐, and Hallabong tea. Thank You 💕
amazing :) enjoy!! where are you watching from?
@@CafeMaddy Thanks for the reply! Oh, watching from U.S.-Virginia. Hot and muggy today. So ready for fall! 🍁🍂 I find your videos so soothing. Thank you so much!
I wish there was more videos like this 💕
In Panama there's a drink called chicheme which is made from broken corn kernels mixed with milk and spices. I never tried it and I got to find ingredients to make it so I know what it taste like and give it to my maternal grandmother who is from Panama.
I really love 유자청 so I'm happy to see there's many other kinds :) I def will try
♥️ Maddy ..Thank you so much for creating this video your amazing ! I’m so intrigued to try these drinks especially the Banana milk latte and Korean Pear 🇰🇷🍐 I appreciate how well your description is on the taste of the drinks to ! Have me quite a bit inspired to see what I can find around me in Florida . The only Korean beverage I’ve had before is 🥰 Sujeonggwa ( hope I spelled this properly ) would love and hope to recreate at home one day .
Love this video! Can you also do a flavor on various grains used to make together with rice? I remember seeing a lot of these at H Mart but didn’t know the difference between them all and how they would look cooked.
Lovely video!! I'll try and find some of these drinks here in Germany to try them out! :3
I love the rice milk drink! My parents like it too☺Misugaru is also so yummy! i love adding less water because sometimes I like the thicker texture HAHA
I kind of love the omija concentrate in the jar because it looks like wine lol 😆
In Chile we have mote con huesillo, it's a great summer drink! It's a very sweet caramel juice, a single dried peach in each cup (it rehydrates after being cooked in the juice itself) and a few spoonfuls of cooked wheatberries. The name just means "wheatberries with dried peach"
Thank you for this. I made a little list for H-Mart!!
Where is H-Mart?
I didn’t realize there is an Asian pear 🍐 juice 🥤! Thanks for sharing! Love ❤️ Asian pears! 🍐😋
black sesame milk is my fave but i need to try banana milk and omija syrup next time i go to hmart!
Thank you for the video! Alcohol review would be awesome 👍
When I was younger, I wasn’t interested in the instant cereal mixes unless it had a creamy, sweet taste, and when I got obsessed with fitness, I completely skipped over these because I was trying to consume less carbs. But now that I’m trying to improve my sleep and lethargy, I’m looking into boosting my vitamins and minerals and misugaru sounds perfect!
I actually have some extra ones in my pantry that I got from family ❤ I want to try these as a hot latte and maybe nutty pancakes?
You make drinking all of these look so good. Are you sure you’re not just putting on a show? 😂
Smooth Jazz Maddy! You have the voice! Thanks for the video am gonna give the Pear drink and banana Espresso a go. Thanks again.
🤯 thank you so much for supporting @wds9861 !! so glad you enjoyed the video :))) will be posting more of these!
Your channel keeps me sane as I’m trying to get my doctorate ☺️ ily
GOOD LUCK!!! You got this :) thanks for watching
Where I live there is a international market that sells foods from other countries and I’ve seen the banana milk there before so next time I go I’ll make sure to get some to try!
Hope you enjoy it! Especially with coffee!
Ahhh I love banana milk! I packed a bunch when I left Korea and got so sad when I ran out in a couple days. Thankfully I live near an H-mart!!
banana milk latte is genius!
I found the green citrus version of the hallabong tea the other day from Heart on Toronto. 청귤차 is my new fav cuz 청귤 & 매실 is great for digestion and to use in cooking like salad dressings or in stuff that requires 매실청. I think most Chungs taste great if you mix it with sparkling water and ice to make citrus ade.
Wow i havent been able to find 청귤청!! Ill look out for it next time 😊
love love watching your vids
Thanks for watching 💜💜
I actually like the coco grape drink despite being almost 30, it's sweet and refreshing. But my favourite drink nowadays is probably korean honey aloe tea. Goes well both hot and cold, so I can enjoy it all year round.
Screenshotting the video so I can go hunt these down! I loooove hallabong tea, I actually found it at Walmart 😂
Everything looks so yummy!
Thank you😍
I love those tall glasses with the pour spout! Where did you get them from
incase banana latte doesnt sound like a no brainer to others, just try it. it is sooooo good. A local cafe had banana mocha and i tried it a while ago, so this would be dank af too hehe
The banana milk must taste different to current supermarket bananas because when the flavour was invented it mimic a variety of bananas called Gros Michel. Its taste very different from current Cavendish variety.
What a fun video! I am looking forward to trying these. I didn't love the banana milk when I tried it, but the melon and taro versions are very good. If you want other cultural drinks I recommend the following Colombian ones: avena/oatmeal shake (Sweet y Salado has a good video on how to make it), aguapanela con limon (unrefined cane sugar dissolved in water with lime added to it, but you can also try other citrus fruits), and hot cocoa with a piece of mozzarella at the bottom. Hope you try one!
Hot choco with mozzarella in the Bottom?!?! 😮😮
These taste test videos are so joyful! I almost feel like I could know what I'm doing at a store with the great information you pass on. Your narration is so soothing, you should do narration for the Calm app!
About the banana flavor. What many people think of as "artificial" banana flavor is based on what bananas used to taste like! There was a disease that spread in the mid to late 20th century that wiped out the variety of banana that was sold in stores. The variety that we have now was not susceptible to that disease, though it is now in danger from a different disease and growers are racing to try and save their plants.
😮 what?!?!? This is fascinating!! Thanks for sharing
i second the idea of narration. so sooothing!
I forgot how 아침햇살 tastes like. 😅 imma get one for myself today.
Thank you for making these amazing videos❤❤
thank you SO much for watching!!
Loved the video 💛💐
Thank you!!
I ❤ Milkis 😍👍
I was surprised to that i liked the banana milk, Costco sells a version of the hellabong syrup, so now im curious to compare them
The ldh drink is top tier
Unfortunately i dont like banana milk that much. I love the 'morning' rice milk drink tho! I grew up drinking rice milk and soy milk so its very nostalgic
Milkis is unmatched
i love your hair! have a great day
💜thank you!! You too😍
Wow all these drinks look delicious 😋 someday I want to try them 🫶🏼💕 Also just wanted to say your videos bring me so much joy
I love this video and can I ask u a question what u like the most about being a Korean ❤
Thank you for watching!! What I love the most about being Korean is feeling connected to my country's history! The more I learn the more I somehow find more about myself too
Hi Cafe Maddy do you maybe be in Piland or you have friends from Poland ?
Is a nashi pear and an Asian pear the same thing?
❤❤❤
Hello💜💜💜
Something about the way this was filmed makes me want to eat my hallabong tea base the same way I eat peanut butter....
Milkis!?
봉봉 & 쌕쌕!
Iykyk!! I couldn’t find it this time but hope i can soon :)
i love Asian grocery store drinks but the ingredients are so bad :(
Girl - all I can think of is how much you probably peed making this LOL
Your haircut is so cute and it suits you so well!💕
Thank you :))
Have you ever made sikhye? I just feel like the store bought one tastes different than the restaurants. I always wanted to try to make it but the recipe seems intimidating. I would love to see your take on it if you have the time. 🩵
